Of reality
(I can put big spaces between my words too!)
why is it impossible to imagine a world without war? thats a really limited worldview imo
you could at least respect my opinion rather than being a twat about it and pulling a fallacy

I think its funny how you state that having a realistic world view is "limited" when you fail to understand the basic harsh reality of why a country needs a standing military. You have a very "limited" worldview, twat.

HAHA OH WOW
How can an opinion be so respected if it's incredibly flawed and unreasonable and naive.
Civilization wouldn't even survive without war. Take a history class.

Because it'll never happen.
It's just "quiet" escalation. They've been moving stuff over to Jordan consistently for the past year bit by bit just waiting for the political go ahead, which they've now recently gotten.
JUST a battalion of Marines he says.
yea just a battalion of marines

i mean no body says shit about these deployments but why this one rotation of marines to jordan
JUST a battalion of Marines he says.
They're not space marines, a single battalion on it's own can't do much.
They're not space marines, a single battalion on it's own can't do much.
pretty much
one battalion has no true capability to do more than just be there and try to look important. theyve got no capacity to defend any sizable area or anything without their actual parent unit being there and yeah nevermind
They're not space marines, a single battalion on it's own can't do much.
You have no idea the capacity of mechanized transported marines. Against small forces, they can still do a lot.
You have no idea the capacity of mechanized transported marines. Against small forces, they can still do a lot.
and the areas around jordan are definitely full of small forces
[editline]22nd June 2013[/editline]
that battalion of marines has no real capability where they're at and with the force they have
You have no idea the capacity of mechanized transported marines. Against small forces, they can still do a lot.
Yeah, small forces. The civil war in Syria involves hundreds of thousands of combatants; it's like pissing in a sea of piss.

Until they run out of supplies. If the US doesn't have a steady supply line set up they'd run out of ammo pretty quickly and then they're more or less useless.
imo the notion of not questioning orders just perfectly shows how barbaric the concept of a military is. training people to not question and to only obey, rather than to educate and teach compassion and empathy is the reason we're still shooting each other.
Yeah man, undisciplined armies are the way to go!!!!

Armies are what provide peace in society. It is impossible for everyone to be compassionate and empathetic to everyone.
