don't forget Resident Evil it's now on live support.
isnt it because gamers in those regions are more likely to stick with 1 game and pay a shitton on it rather than play a ton of games and pay very little outside of the base price?
it's also why asian titles are known for horrible horrible grindfests.
I have yet to see a F2P MMO from anywhere east of Russia that doesn't end fucking catastrophic.
LineAge II, for what its worth, was really good. the end.
http://www.onrpg.com/boards/threads/79035-ATTENTION-ALL-Monster-Hunter-Frontier-players while the evidence of incentivization of reports has been lost to time (read i really dont want to look for the posts) i distinctly remember that being a thing, along with everything else in this link
It reads like a article on how to handle a bear in the woods. There basically treating western players almost as lesser beings.
It sucks but that's the way it is. Phantasy Star Online 2 is like that however, it's no where near that bad. The only time you d o something obnoxious.
what do the people in their us headquarters even do? monday night street fighter?
I guess from an optimistic perspective this could be used to help fund Dragon's Dogma 2? But still it sucks that after a huge audience clamors for a sequel, capcom takes it the exact wrong way and then locks it out of the region where the predecessor was very popular. That's some train of thought.
Capcom has shown time and time again that they are a terrible company. I don't know why anyone is surprised. Sure, they have good games, but their business model us despicable and they don't seem to give a shit about their western market. They are just as bad, if not worse, than their western AAA counterparts.
But we're talking about the last installment in a series before it had to be rebooted due to a lack of sales and general disinterest in the series.
Except that's not the case at all. Devil May Cry 4 was a financial success and is currently the biggest selling entry in the franchise.
