You guys take this to a whole new level of bad.
The irony is so thick that if it had any nutritional value, it could be shipped to the third world as food aid.
Defeat? What is this, a game? You guys take this to a whole new level of bad.
No, it's an argument! they can be won or lost, and you lost this one. You've failed to persuade anyone with your lame rhetoric and at this point all you're doing is just stating your opinion ad nauseaum (read: shitposting) for reasons known only to you. [editline]besides[/editline] you know your argument sucks hard when several people ask you to stop posting altogether
wow jumped from an abandoned cement plant to her death that's fuckin brutal
How badly do you want a social life that you prefer to get harassed everywhere by everyone?
Because she knew the harassment would resume after she'd started a different school and time had passed?
MILLIONS of people simply work around it and stop giving a fuck about it. They bug you on the phone? Change numbers or simply block them on your carrier. They bug you on facebook? Block and report them for christ sake.
What's ridiculous is that you continue to use "ignore" as a solution and still don't realize that the victim leaving the internet or reporting them won't stop them for continuing to harass her. I want you to prove to us that MILLIONS as you keep saying aren't slighty mentally damaged because they ignored their mental/physical abuse. Justify what you are saying because after 10 pages, there's more than enough discussion about this and why your thinking is wrong and yet you haven't justified any of it. Edit: BTW
Newsflash: Nobody is fucking excusing them.

I'm blaming her for going back to the same shit

How badly do you want a social life that you prefer to get harassed everywhere by everyone?

she didn't step in on a nest of assholes the nest of assholes followed her that is clearly not her fault.
Nobody said it was, jesus christ.
See no flaws here? She didn't choose to be harassed, you can't deny a social life to someone just so those morons can have their way. EDIT:
Well, do you suggest she kills herself instead of working out her way around the bullying since nobody else does anything towards her well being? What other option are you and anyone else giving other than patting her on the back? And how is it anywhere near an ACTUAL OPTION to go straight back to the place where the bullies are? How hard is it to avoid things that hurt you?!
You still don't understand that they followed her, she didn't go to them, you still are ignorant enough to think that a 12 year old would have such reasoning towards these problems, if avoiding what hurts us was so easy, then there would be no problems in the world right now.
its a great way to read your character and your character is a genocidal racist maniac with no regards for human life, i think thats pretty apparent in the way you argue.
This said by someone on a forum holds up with great value, yes sir.
This said by someone on a forum holds up with great value, yes sir.
Good job skipping a bunch of posts arguing against you again! I don't know why I even bother anymore.
This said by someone on a forum holds up with great value, yes sir.
Dude, I spent like an entire 60 seconds writing that post and you ignored it, guess I'm a bully and ignoring works!
At least we're not the ones that are saying a person being harassed has to make major sacrifices because it's their fault.
Oh so you'd rather everything stayed the same, your sanity went lower than ever and you ended up killing yourself? By your logic, you'll stick your finger in a beehive, get stung, and then, keep sticking it back again because you want honey. Major sacrifices? Oh wow, a 12 year old taking a break of a "social" life on the internet, what will she ever do... It's not like its so she doesn't gets harassed or anything either, is it? Do you even read that to yourself? You're saying she should keep going online, where she can expect more harassment, and calling it a major sacrifice, as if it was life or death to be online. Let me get this straight. Her mom took her phone and the internet, and she got better. Soon after, she secretly went online again, and fell into depression yet again, ending in suicide. For starters, how is that even a reasonable thing to do? But wait, I guess for FP, its better to be bullied and laughed at on the internet if it means you can have a social life. I mean, wow. Is Facepunch really more worried about her having a social life than not having bully problems? And I'm the emotionless bastard... Guess not letting someone stick their heads into a mess is a bad thing to do when you can have superficial stupid crap huh? You CAN'T DENY A CHILD A SOCIAL LIFE, there's a reason "anti-social" people exist. And answer me this, if she "took a break", would she be even more harassed because she ran away from her problems, wouldn't she continue to be bullied after she returned, if the people she knows are also connected to the bullies, since they probably live in the same area, since they ARE from the same school? REMEMBER IT'S A CHILD, NOT AN ADULT, THEY DON'T HAVE THE SAME MENTALITY. It's also not easy to just move away from the problem, money is also a problem for the parents and their location could be more pleasant for them because of work.
Then again, its hard to persuade stubborn people who live in black and white worlds.
And don't you think it can apply to you
Then again, its hard to persuade stubborn people who live in black and white worlds.
Are you projecting again?
Wow, several FP members act like a social life is basically living the "dream" that you just can't lay it off even if it fucking brings you down. Unbelievable.
maybe something to do with the fact that humans are innately social animals and that at the end of the day most people just don't want to be lonely, regardless of what else they are doing with their life
Then again, its hard to persuade stubborn people who live in black and white worlds.
Black and white as in failing to realize that every single person has a different personality that makes them react differently to certain situations? Black and white as in regarding anyone who wouldn't take your preferred course of action as "stupid", regardless of their emotional maturity and ability to do so? You mean black and white as in those people who will make sweeping generalizations of entire groups of people based on a single personal experience? Yes, I agree completely. Those people are stubborn indeed!
Dont give me that "social beings" crap. Humans are also hardwired for survival, yet she did the exact opposite of that.
Dont give me that "social beings" crap. Humans are also hardwired for survival, yet she did the exact opposite of that.
You are pathetic. Keep denying everything and grasping at straws them.
Dont give me that "social beings" crap. Humans are also hardwired for survival, yet she did the exact opposite of that.
pretty much all you've shown with your argument is that you seem to have a fairly poor understanding of other people's feelings and mindsets
You walk on a dark path, my friend
Dont give me that "social beings" crap. Humans are also hardwired for survival, yet she did the exact opposite of that.
Do you have any friends?
You are pathetic.
That coming from you really gives it value, yes sir.
Dont give me that "social beings" crap. Humans are also hardwired for survival, yet she did the exact opposite of that.
Social interaction is kind of a need.
You walk on a dark path, my friend
Exageration. [editline]15th September 2013[/editline]
Social interaction is kind of a need.
And people tend to break apart from talking to people if stuff like this happens aswell.
Social interaction is kind of a need.
I need water, food, and sleep, I want a social life.
I need water, food, and sleep, I want a social life.
This is wrong. We need social interaction every bit as much as we need sustenance. http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/isolation-effects.htm http://www.livescience.com/18800-loneliness-health-problems.html http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/200308/the-dangers-loneliness Humans are social beings, this is an indisputable fact and there's evidence of this all over. The first human communities formed tribes, those tribes formed cities, the cities grew into nations, etc. Interaction is a key factor in human development and a lack of it has been linked to many psychological disorders (anxeity, depression and sociopathy being the most common). Any person with a basic knowledge of psychology and anthropology will tell you this. Don't pull the "but I can manage just fine" card, because you can't. Even you being here, in Facepunch, is a form of social interaction. Why do you think people who've been isolated for long periods of time start having hallucinations? Why do you think lonely kids have imaginary friends? It's a vital thing for us. There's no getting around that so don't use the "human r survivalists" thing to justify your dumb opinions. If that was true humans would've never even reached the tribal hunter gatherer stage.
