The only possible games that these statements would be applicable to would be VR games and even then you can still differentiate in your head.
Yes but it's not qualified, it's just saying "here's a vague list of incorrect opinions, interpret them at your own discretion", leading to a culture empowering people based on how it made them "feel", which is vague, favors mob behavior and is easy to abuse
you shouldn't have to tell people not to be a dick through a list of rules, and if they are, ask them to stop. If they're wrong, people will back you up, and odds are they'll stop. No list of approved behaviour needed. It's a rulesystem that favors an authority to sort shit out for you, as opposed to you asserting yourself and dealing with it yourself. The very antithesis of what it is to be punk. That's why i found it so stupid
I think you're confusing punk rock with political anarchy.

I feel like you actually understand very little about punk. Stuff like this is a reaction to the Nazi punks that came out of the '70s+'80s. They created a violent and dangerous atmosphere, so they had to be literally kicked out of the movement and relegated to niche backwater shows.
But once again, Afropunk is NOT a punk festival
This whole "omg vidogames are evil1!" thing is bullshit since there's been loads of studies that prove otherwise. Besides, without video games I wouldn't have learned English in the first place.
All my life I've hated guns and think they shouldn't exist at all. Don't start an argument over this here, I stay out of gun-related threads, I know my place.
BUT I play TONS of games that use guns to shoot other players, and have pretty much played since I was like 10. I even have favorite guns in games, I really like shotguns! And even then, seeing a gun in real life makes me go "Oh nooo, no :frown:." How is this possible?
I also learned english from NES and SNES-games. This caused me to ace english in school all the way to college. Then it got a bit tough with career-specific technical words and I actually had to start studying it.

I agree with you, I'm super anti gun but I just enjoy violent video games. Violence is simply the easiest system a developer can use to visualise competition, and competition is normally a feature in games.
I hope I can listen to Green Day's music without thinking this because they're one of my favorite bands of all time.
