Then punish them for their irresponsibility and what they did while they were on the drug, not because they might act bad. Some people can handle themselves on drugs and some can't, punish the latter, not the former.
Id like to see someone handle them self high on Meth.
Id like to see someone handle them self high on Meth.
I actually used to know a few tweakers and they were weird some sometimes shifty(when they weren't high), but the never really did anything illegal except the drug itself.
I really think this is a pretty good idea. You'd be surprised how easy it is to fuck up doing that, and not only how many junkies don't know what they're doing. But, the conservative right is going to bitch and moan and whine and cry about this.
Yes, let's use taxpayer money to support junkies and their habits! WHAT COULD GO WRONG? IT'S FLAWLESS!

At least you can prevent the spread of disease and shit and help ease the burden on our hospitals.
I suppose, but there has to be a better way than just holding their hands and letting them continue.
We aren't, we are telling them that if they are going to do it they might as well do it right. I don't think this is going to encourage that many(if any) people to start. Most of these people are probably going to be shooting up anyways, at least if you give them safety tips it saves us money in the long run and makes their life a bit less disease-ridden and miserable.
Im all for making drugs legal, but the question is where do you draw the line? Weed? Crack? Meth? Where do you stop and say one drug is worse than another?
Legalize em all I say. Let the idiots die from OD. We'd have less idiots, more income, and gangs would be hurt because that is a big source of income. Take away the illegal drugs and gangs would stop profitting and getting arms and shit.

How about they publish something like, the short term, long term, and permanent effects of the drug instead? Sorry, but I cannot see the logic in this at all. What the fuck do infections matter when you are injecting heroine; you might not live to notice the damn injection site is green.
Completely not true, you legalize them and then the gangs and drug runners can legally sell the shit.
There would be no point if you can buy it legally for cheaper. You don't see a big black market for cigarettes or alcohol do you?
Wait, so we should legalize drugs because it's not the government's job to protect people from themselves, but this is okay?
Completely not true, you legalize them and then the gangs and drug runners can legally sell the shit.
There's no way a small gang can compete with a massive corporation, that's just common sense.
Wait, so we should legalize drugs because it's not the government's job to protect people from themselves, but this is okay?
Informing someone about the dangers of doing something isn't privacy invading. Telling someone whether they can do it or not is another matter entirely.
There's no way a small gang can compete with a massive corporation, that's just common sense.
But with drugs like weed you can basically grow it anywhere.
But with drugs like weed you can basically grow it anywhere.
Again, do you see a huge black market for tobacco? It's pretty easy to grow tobacco too.
They already have done that multiple times.
I can see that I guess. Still, don't you think this is counter-productive, and slightly insulting?
There would be no point if you can buy it legally for cheaper. You don't see a big black market for cigarettes or alcohol do you?
Actually, duty-free cigs are normally horded for profit buy drug dealers and the such. Uber cheap bacci is awesome though.
I'm rather disturbed that the organizations that set up safe injection sites didn't release such a guide earlier.
That's why my personal opinion is there is no line. Let a person smoke meth if they want, or shoot up heroine, or smoke weed. It is their choice and I don't think the government has the right to tell us what to do with our body as long as we aren't hurting someone else.
Amen.
Not to go off topic but it doesnt matter if its less hamrful, smoking anything is harmful.
Well you don't have to smoke it, but even still it's less harmful than cigarettes anyway.
