We've actually known about the Underground city(s) for a while. I believe several years ago some older family knocked down a wall in their home for renovations and discovered a secret entrance; complete with a giant rolling stone door that was completely balanced so one man could move it, but only from one side.
There are a few, actually I do believe.
Our History is so fucking fascinating. Not to sound like a nut-job; but there is so much we do not know and so much that has been assumed upon. Especially with Egypt.
