android/iphone evil genius would be pretty gr8 tbh
It would still be bad news for fans of the original who want a proper sequel.
--snip--
I think the Alien Swarm branch of source would be a great starting point if we wanted to go the 'mod/greenlight' route.
Zynga are terrible.
I am sad now.
At least war for the overworld is still coming out :C but still, this hurts me, bad. All this hype buildup for this.

Yeah, but that still has a long way to go.
73 signs :)
Why would Rebellion even sign with fucking Zynga of all companies? They are evil! Fucking terrible poison! Do not touch! What the fuck, I wouldn't expect this from the EG makers. Truly a terrible decision.

They didn't make EG. They just own the rights.

We need to think of a place where we would get more signs, anyone got any ideas?
Didn't they try this before and fail miserably?
Didn't they try this before and fail miserably?
They thought the fans wanted a sequel to that game. :l they were dumb.
108 Signs we only need 492 more. :suicide:

Yeah there was another evil genius Facebook game awhile back

I hate to burst your bubble but I don't think a petition is going to change anything.
I hate to burst your bubble but I don't think a petition is going to change anything.
Well A petition with 600 signs or more and many emails/tweets should change some something :)
or not. we will never know the outcome untill the end.
I'm not going to get angry until I see some gameplay.
I wasn't aware that having the word "online" and "facebook" in your game automatically means it's awful.

Well now you know.

It's still being developed by fucking Rebellion, not a table of dudes at Zynga.
Chances are it will be a pretty decent game, but hardcore fans will VILIFY it and not give it a chance at all.

There's really nothing you can do outside of funding the entire project for yourself.

Why don't they start a kickstarter to fund it... sure enough they will get the certain amount of money they want.

Considering that they're paired up with Zynga right now for this title, something tells me that, legally, they're not allowed to do that kind of shit with the EG IP.
[editline]13th August 2013[/editline]
also they're not going to a) work on both games at once or b) cancel the facebook game just to work on some kickstarter that may or may not even work

you could be right or not the world will never know. (until they actually say what they are doing)

And chances are it'll be a steaming pile of fucking shit. Do you make it your goal in life to come in to threads and white-knight for games or things everyone hates?
Everyone here who cares about EG has been waiting YEARS for an Evil Genius 2, not some lazy cash grab Facebook game.
I'd also like to point out that Rebellion's track record with games isn't that spectacular. I find their games fun but they tend to suffer from a lot of flaws and questionable design choices.
I remember playing a GTA-clone freenium and it made every attempt to nab money from you. Even to the point where you had to pay to highjack cars. :v:
Hopefully this petition works and they will at least a) start a kick starter b) say this is to fund the real game c) they are already making it secretly or d) they sell the rights or give them up or give up on EG.
Can someone link this thread to Jason Kingsley on Twitter? I would but I've sent so many messages to him recently he probably won't read it...
Just a question, even if Rebellion does want to change EGo. Aren't they in a contract or something with Zynga now which would provent them from doing so?
