Zynga are so bad, hopefully this will be another nail in the coffin for her.
Just a question, even if Rebellion does want to change EGo. Aren't they in a contract or something with Zynga now which would provent them from doing so?
I have no idea.

It seems i might have been wrong about the game. It's an ingame screenshot.

Maybe it's because it's not only a browser game, but a Facebook game at that, and it's one made in partial by Zynga.
You've been accepted, Henchman! Thank you for showing your support for the Evil Genius Online closed beta! We wanted to let you know that your registration was successful. Please await another directive in October when we will give you access to your very own underground lair – virtually of course ... for now. In the meantime as way of inspiration, one of our minions has prepared a snapshot of an EGO lair in progress below. We intended to make this image self-destruct upon reading, but sadly our tech is not yet up to the task, so there is no way of preventing you sending it to colleagues, minions or rival henchmen. Yours evily, Team EGO, Oxford lair. At least it shows dedication, or some similar word. Rather than simply putting "Greetings, [Username], you have been accepted into the [Game] Beta, which will be acessable on [Date]. -[Company/Developer]

I always hoped for Evil Genius 2 to have tons of new features and a completely overhauled engine - allowing stuff like multi-level tiered control rooms (TF2 style) and monorail transit systems (Black mesa style).
Looks crappier than the first actually, but similar in style.
If anyone still cares about the petition, i have sent it to a well known youtuber that did a let's play a few years ago and he said he will get us some signs.
