I can't believe there are people in here who don't get that people have bills to pay and food to put on the table.
That argument can be used to justify just about anything. Regardless of the reason, it is still illegal and immoral.
i'd probably do it, if it weren't on a highway. $20-$100 of stolen cash isn't worth risking my life or the lives of others [editline]15th April 2015[/editline] also its fucking stolen
Some of you people are absolutely disgusting. The money might belong to a corporation that makes billions every year, but that does not justify taking it. To insist otherwise is completely wrong on both moral and legal principles. It's still money that belongs to someone else, whether that be Brinks or one of their clients - taking the 'free' money is entirely theft and nothing else.
yeah if you were there i bet you'd just sit there in your car "look at those vermin"
And I don't blame anyone for taking it either, really. Talk about the bank and ownership all you want, if I need to pay my bills or feed my family, and there's just money up for grabs with the only victim being a fucking bank, I'm taking the money. Is it necessarily morally right? No. I just don't plain give enough of a shit if it means I can clothe myself, or feed my kids. For me personally, I'd take the money.
But MORALS and DOING THE RIGHT THING! Why are you supporting the desperate people willing to risk their life on a busy highway for a couple hundred dollars and not the multi-billion dollar companies with insurance on their shit? You are so disgusting!

it's one thing to say "if I was driving along and there was just money all over with a crowd of people picking it up and running off I'd totally take advantage of it", but if you as a person in this thread understand where the money came from, what are you doing
A moralizer is one who moralizes. The question of legality is pointless without enforceability. What exactly makes it a terrible idea?
finally I can impress my edgelord facebook friends
if you drop your wallet on the ground and I snatch it before you pick it up it's not 'finder's keepers' what am I even reading are you guys seriously trying to bend over backwards to justify people stealing money from the scene of an accident

What are you, 7?
it was a joke guys gawh you couldnt see a joke if it slapped you in the face, humourless swine not getting my amazing joke
it was a joke guys gawh you couldnt see a joke if it slapped you in the face, humourless swine not getting my amazing joke
Sorry, it's really hard to tell the satire from the serious when there are so many totally serious replies justifying what is clear-cut theft.
I'd do it if I wasn't too afraid of getting hit by other cars. As great as "free" money is, I value my life more. Not saying I'd do it if it wasn't on a highway though, as that would be equally as stupid. At least with the highway scenario, there's an element of chaos going on, so it would be harder to get caught.
