Love how gun nuts come swarming in trying to rationalize owning god knows how many guns they have and all they do is spew the same old garbage.
Maybe actually come up with some fresh valid point other than selfishly thinking you have the right to stock up on weapons because they help you justify being some crazy outcast. Lol
Why do you have such a hateboner for guns.
Again, you do realize that if people want to kill people, they'll find ways to kill them, right?
You realize people are killed in your country too, right?
8000+ gun homicides doesn't seem fucking strange to you? like, 3/4ths of all murders registered in America are performed with a gun doesn't that strike you as strange?
seems like America's violent, paranoid and overzealous society and its gun culture are a bad combination!
The massive gang and drug issues we have are counted in that.
All those people that are saying that not allowing people to have guns in the first place wouldn't work:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/298435/Police_use_of_firearms_Commons.pdf
Just look at the first page of that document. It states "The Police discharged a conventional firearm in 3 incidents (down from 5 incidents in
2011-12)."
That's a pretty impressive statistic. You're not telling me that the Police in America actually fire their weapons so infrequently.
As always, your country is a small, isolated island with a vastly different set of demographics, economy, culture, and host of other differences.

10000 homicides in a year out of 360 million people?
Must be a violent society.
Okay now you're trolling.

Over 1600 knife homicides in the US in 2011. Yup, people don't use knives to kill.
it's still a shit-ton less than 8,583

So your answer to having no good valid point to an argument is to advise I'm trolling? If knives are just as effective why do you not have those instead then?
Guns are far far more effective and deadly than knives, doesn't take any statistics to know that.

I love foreigners commenting on my country, saying we rationalize owning these things because we're "crazy outcasts".
There is a pair of words for people like you.
Generalizing Prick.

Don't forget bows, arrows, javelins, and throwing axes.

The fuck are you talking about? I can pull hypotheticals out of my ass too. Did you see his video? He had the perfect opportunity to assault them with a knife.

Most people who own guns are perfectly functional members of society and their communities. The argument you keep falling back to is "You're all crazy baby murdering mass murderers looking to kill everyone and their dogs!"
I beg britcucks to reason: the United States is not like European countries. We have crime, poverty, and racial tensions in this country on unimaginable scales to the average Euro. In some areas it's basically the Wild West in comparison. We have generally more corrupt laws, generally have our labor more abused by corporations and faulty legislation, and still do not have adequate government programs to help the needy. We also have trigger happy cops
The U.S. government has not represented its people for a long time, and I would be happy to give up my guns if I knew that our country was in good hands, but it isn't.
Cool sociopathy. Callous disregard for the rights and thoughts of others.
That's quite ironic considering you're trying to justify owning something for your own 'right' above the safety of the general population

Actually he probably would have. Guns are also tools, they provide meat for my dinner table, protection, and enjoyment.

maybe the same old garbage that they're spewing is the reason
just because you don't like it doesn't mean you're right
you are entitled to your opinion, and we are entitled to ours
give us a good reason to sacrifice a right granted to us by our Founding Fathers instead of demanding reasons why we should be able to keep them

Explain how me owning a gun safely locked up in my home puts anybody at risk

it's HORRIBLY violent! that's more murders a year than Pakistan. China has the same amount of murders per year while having 5 times as many people.
That's quite ironic considering you're trying to justify owning something for your own 'right' above the safety of the general population
So why exactly is it you feel so superior to us, anyway.
Hey, look at that, im looking outside my window, nothings happening.
According to you it should be World War Three over here because we're so CrAzY aNd ZaNy enough to own the dreaded GUNS, as if that somehow reflects on the owner.

You don't even need to use the Constitution as an argument. The numbers are solid enough - out of 300,000,000 documented firearms (many more undocumented) an exceedingly small percentage of them, most undocumented or illegal, are used in violent crimes.

See I'm glad this guy has bothered to make an actual original reason and thought out justification for the legality of firearms in the US rather than the standard "I have 20 guns I'm safe trust me", "Guns don't kill people" and "Knives are weapons too"
Saw footage the shooter himself recorded. He held his phone to record with one hand and used another to point the gun at the reporter.
He posted it on his FB account right after shooter the two, this is really fucked up.

You'd better turn in your cricket bats m8, they could be used as weapons and are therefore a menace to the population at large

Or maybe people shouldnt have to justify owning something because some nut did something crazy.
Maybe thats kind of, y'know, dumb.

Owning a gun poses no threat to anyone. The general populace is in no more danger for someone owning a gun. Rationalizing the banning of something because of its potential use for a crime is entirely irrational.

You like his argument because it includes "I would be happy to give up my guns". You ignore anyone who suggests that guns may not be the cause of violence, that there is a larger problem, etc. and continue to spew bullshit.

Everything can be a tool. Anything can be a weapon.
