maybe the same old garbage that they're spewing is the reason just because you don't like it doesn't mean you're right you are entitled to your opinion, and we are entitled to ours give us a good reason to sacrifice a right granted to us by our Founding Fathers instead of demanding reasons why we should be able to keep them
Just because a right was granted hundreds of years ago doesn't automatically make it right in the modern day. These things were written in a completely different era in a completely different culture for completely different reasons to why people own guns these days. The Founding Fathers were right about a lot of things, but not everything, and we've evolved our laws over time to reflect this.
Explain how me owning a gun safely locked up in my home puts anybody at risk
You could have something happen in your life and go out and without any effort kill a whole score of people, you can't say your life won't go in that direction and that gun will allow you to kill a whole bunch of people from your own room.
Explain how me owning a gun safely locked up in my home puts anybody at risk
well obviously your firearm(probably an RPG-47) doesnt have a SEAL-6 assault grip, murderizer scope, and extended child grave maker magazine clips
or just buying them from other people? you have this stupid way of thinking that makes you believe all guns used in crime are somehow magical "bad" guns that were stolen. get over the fact that the "gun control" in the us is completely, entirely useless and doesn't work one bit. running a background check on people who want to buy them legally in a store only hinders those who do it legally through stores. you guys need a register and a good way to know what people own them, instead of just going "omg muh 2nd amendment commies!!!!!!!!!" and thinking you're better off stacking them inside your garage when someone says a much stricter law is needed
The registry in Canada has never helped solve one shooting.
it's a combination of factors, really, the absolute distrust and paranoia the American people have over its government and of each other, the permanent pessimism and fatalism that Americans have making them believe that they are worse off than what they really are, a culture that worships guns as a great equalizer in an otherwise unfair world and that accepts that the right to live isn't without exception, and heavily politicized mass media serving as an amplifier to all of these negative aspects of the American culture.
Most people who own guns are perfectly functional members of society and their communities. The argument you keep falling back to is "You're all crazy baby murdering mass murderers looking to kill everyone and their dogs!"
Most people who are insane think they're completely normal.
You could have something happen in your life and go out and without any effort kill a whole score of people, you can't say your life won't go in that direction and that gun will allow you to kill a whole bunch of people from your own room.
Dude are you fucking serious. Jesus Christ are you really so disconnected from society that you think anyone could snap at anytime and go on a shooting spree? What the hell do they teach you about our country over there.
You could have something happen in your life and go out and without any effort kill a whole score of people, you can't say your life won't go in that direction and that gun will allow you to kill a whole bunch of people from your own room.
This entire point is that "Something could happen at some time for some reason and cause something bad. So we need to ban this."
Just because a right was granted hundreds of years ago doesn't automatically make it right in the modern day.
Most people who are insane think they're completely normal.
That isn't even an argument.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/IXrqIRg.jpg[/t] Observe the criminal features of this evil demented firearm, such as a magazine removed from the grip, a distinct barrel, adjustable sights, and a removable shoulder stock. Lord help the many thousands of innocent victims of whoever owns this monstrous device... Just kidding, haven't killed anyone with it yet. It's been on this planet for a hundred years.
You could have something happen in your life and go out and without any effort kill a whole score of people, you can't say your life won't go in that direction and that [del]gun[/del]cricket bat will allow you to kill a whole bunch of [del]people[/del]wankers.

So your answer to having no good valid point to an argument is to advise I'm trolling? If knives are just as effective why do you not have those instead then? Guns are far far more effective and deadly than knives, doesn't take any statistics to know that.
Guns may be more effective than knives at longer ranges, yet at close ranges knives can be far more effective due to how fast they can be pulled out, and how much distance a person can cover in a short amount of time.
After reading through this thread: Holy fucking shit, certain Americans are stubborn.
why the fuck is it even an argument lol, how do you do a spree killing with a knife without anybody being able to stop you, cut it off with the fucking knives they're not relevant.
Canary, i gotta ask, what is it thats making you so full of yourself. Why do you feel so superior. Im not seeing it.
why the fuck is it even an argument lol, how do you do a spree killing with a knife without anybody being able to stop you, cut it off with the fucking knives they're not relevant.
It happens a lot more often than you think or want to admit because it'd ruin this argument.

You clearly spend most your time at your computer judging by your user account so don't start that bullcrap.
You could have something happen in your life and go out and without any effort kill a whole score of people, you can't say your life won't go in that direction and that gun will allow you to kill a whole bunch of people from your own room.
The same can be said of knives really, just that knives aren't as empowering as guns are. For example, the first three people that Elliot Rodger killed were invited into his place and then stabbed to death, that's more people than this shooting. Additionally in this circumstance the shooter probably could have achieved the same outcome by stabbing the people he had intended to kill 1-3 times each rather than shooting. I feel like the only time when where guns are differentiated from knives and other types of penetrating weaponry are in mass shootings,

If I am ever forced to kill it would be in a self preservation situation. I suppose being a third party you have no way of accepting that as fact, but I don't think most people are a psychopath waiting to snap
Guns may be more effective than knives at longer ranges, yet at close ranges knives can be far more effective due to how fast they can be pulled out, and how much distance a person can cover in a short amount of time.
The 21 foot rule, used by police. An individual closer than 21 feet with a knife can reach a police officer and successfully stab him in the time it takes the officer to draw and fire.
Me disconnected from society? You clearly spend most your time at your computer judging by your user account so don't start that bullcrap.
Nice comeback, did you think of that all by yourself or did you have to call in an assist?
Me disconnected from society? You clearly spend most your time at your computer judging by your user account so don't start that bullcrap.
Lmao you can tell when these guys have given up pretending to have a valid argument
It happens a lot more often than you think or want to admit because it'd ruin this argument.
no it doesn't, how does anything like the V-Tech shootings happen with a knife? these acts of mass murder couldn't possibly be done by one guy with a fucking knife, don't be so foolish.
anyone could snap at anytime and go on a shooting spree?
yes
Canary, i gotta ask, what is it thats making you so full of yourself. Why do you feel so superior. Im not seeing it.
Why do you take this to a personal level?
After reading through this thread: Holy fucking shit, certain Americans are stubborn.
Does not make them wrong.
no it doesn't, how does anything like the V-Tech shootings happen with a knife? these acts of mass murder couldn't possibly be done by one guy with a fucking knife, don't be so foolish.
Wasnt there a stabbing spree in Australia not too long ago?
Why do you take this to a personal level?
You call everyone a psychopath if they don't condemn guns as the devil's sextoy.
