But the reporters would have been fine if they carried guns too, right?
Not in this situation.
A gun makes it a fuck of a lot easier.
Stabbing two completely distracted people would be easy.
Stabbing two completely distracted people would be easy.
Lets use anecdotes to promote the complete deregulation of lethal weapons. Yee haw, British King George III can't touch us now boys, with his taxes and whatnot, don't tread on me amirite.
But the reporters would have been fine if they carried guns too, right?
Not when they are the specific target. But if there was an armed bystander then yeah, it's possible.

A gun wouldn't have helped them at all. Can't defend yourself from a threat you don't see or notice.

No shit an armed bystander would have helped. There are tons of stories about CCW saving lives.

I don't think you understand.
I said an armed bystander could have helped, what are you trying to argue about here?
Yo, what if we just armed everybody with a gun, that way if anybody can't defend themselves well just say they lost the duel like in the old wild west, sounds like the ultimate fairness to me eh.
I don't think you understand.

I was agreeing... Not sure how you can miss that.

Man, not to be rude but are you out of your mind, your last post was arguing against him.

"No shit....." sounds like hostility and argument to me.

I wasn't arguing at all.

Why do you idiots always jump to hyperbole and imaginary situations when someone suggests that a bystander concealed carrying might have noticed this guy before it was too late? It's hilarious. Do you realize that's not an argument? It makes you look ignorant as hell. Rub some brain cells together and come up with something remotely intelligent.
Lets use anecdotes to promote the complete deregulation of lethal weapons. Yee haw, British King George III can't touch us now boys, with his taxes and whatnot, don't tread on me amirite.
Please tell me, what do you think the US government should do about guns?

It was a joke cowboy, I would've thought with our rational discourse earlier you could have understood that without jumping to calling myself and anybody who disagrees with you an idiot.
Edit:
Please tell me, what do you think the US government should do about guns?
Go check back to pages 3-5 of the thread.
Because it's an impractical thing to rely on.
IIRC he actually agrees with that too & thinks classic cars should be removed from roadways or scrapped. You will notice a certain theme among self described liberals and it's that they don't want liberties for anyone if it's not something they're interested in or can afford.
I dont think classic cars should be removed, I think that if car manufacturers were to reproduce classic cars, they should be held to modern safety and emissions standards.

You're an idiot. It's possible to disagree with me without being one, but you didn't manage.
I wasn't arguing at all.
Ask your doctor about borderline schizophrenia.
You're an idiot. It's possible to disagree with me without being one, but you didn't manage.
Well hey, I think you're an idiot too, that sure accomplished a lot , didn't it.
Ask your doctor about borderline schizophrenia.
What are you implying?
Well hey, I think you're an idiot too, that sure accomplished a lot , didn't it.
It got more done than "lol all americans are gun toting rednecks who want to live in the wild west yeehaw why don't we just give every human from age 0-120 an automatic ar 15 assault machine rifle ;DD"
Even though you guys are all disagreeing with each other over the little details, you do definitely believe that some change needs to occur to current gun rights, right?
Even though you guys are all disagreeing with each other over the little details, you do definitely believe that some change needs to occur to current gun rights, right?
The only glaring issue I see is mental health records not being disclosed.
There isn't much that can be done for cases like this where people slip thru the cracks.

Were not only disagreeing with little details, were fundamentally disagreeing about the rights of our constitution and the particular amendments within the bill of rights, and the ability to amend them to suit our changing needs.
What is it with the pro-gun people on facepunch who can't discuss something without insulting pro gun control people?
The only glaring issue I see is mental health records not being disclosed.

So a very strict mental health assessment should be made before purchasing firearms, and if failed he shouldn't be allowed to purchase the firearm, but then he would still kill the reporters with a knife?
Even though you guys are all disagreeing with each other over the little details, you do definitely believe that some change needs to occur to current gun rights, right?
I think first and foremost a firearms safety class should be mandatory on your first purchase. I think mental illnesses should show up on background checks, and you should be checked at the door when entering a gun show. There are some other controls I think should be in place as well, smaller stuff mostly.
I think the current restrictions on what guns can be owned by someone who's qualified to own a gun are too tight, though.

This is just from this page. How long do you expect us to ignore this type of blatant baiting? It's fucking ignorant and stupid. He can't pose an argument without constructing an imaginary reality for himself of what a pro-gun person looks and acts like.
