I'm in middleschool and knowing 11 year olds now days there are alot out there just asking to be raped by dressing like sluts and hanging out with gangs of adults etc.
Right, except I can't seem to find a video link in the source, so I'm wondering just where the hell you saw it.
That's fucked up.
First of all, it's their job
Second, money.
you know that public attorneys make like jack shit right? 40k/ yr MAYBE. it's the bottom of the barrel work for lawyers, aka young kids out of college, who have 3-400k+ student loans to pay off.
Did they really have to fucking show the video in the courtroom she was in, couldn't they of told her to simply leave or showed the evidence when she wasn't around
I'm sad now.
I'm not saying it's right just that the girl herself probably could have prevented it
"i would live on the streets and starve before defending these people!"
These are some real sick fucks.
Send them to prison and let them get their just desserts.
Nah, that's the easy way out. The other inmates know how to handle their kind.
I'd rather be unemployed and homeless than make a single cent attempting to "defend" these poor excuses for human beings.
You realise they'll most likely be put in protective custody, like every other person charged with a sexual offense does?
It's just their job. Defending their clients is what they're getting paid for.
Realistically in cases like these lawyers aren't there to try and get these guys out of a jail sentence, they are trying to make sure the prosecution didn't violate any of the defendants rights.
They might be scum, but they still need to be fairly tried under the law.

Calling troll.

0/10 try harder
I can understand people saying that women that get so drunk they black out at a party with what's clearly the wrong type of people could have avoided the situation, but this is 20 people raping an 11 year old. I think it's a little different.
i'm sorry are you saying that if you pass out and go to sleep it's okay for someone to believe that you deserve to be raped?
because that sounds like what you're saying. don't think you recognize exactly what you're saying.
The things people will do for money continues to amaze me.
These are hardly the expensive lawyer teams you'd expect a sports star or celebrity to hire, these are most likely public defenders. A lawyer's job is to give their client the best damn shot they have at either getting out, or lessening their sentence, regardless of personal reservations. These lawyers aren't scumbags, they're examples of the legal system at work; giving anyone a shot at a fair trial, no matter how blatantly guilty they are.
Damn, people here are out for blood tonight.
I'm not saying it's right just that the girl herself probably could have prevented it
She could have prevented it by dressing differently, when we don't even know how she dressed. She could have been wearing a bathing suit, or a sun-dress. You should depart this thread. "She dressed provocatively" Is not an excuse for rape, and it's not her fault she was raped.

Dear God no. I'm saying that putting yourself into a bad situation is a stupid thing to do, but when compared to this case there's no way you could argue the girl is at fault to any degree. Can we focus on the actual rape and not the hyptothetical one?
Pretty sure they can just say "No" to defending men who raped an 11 year old girl.
Everyone has a right to a fair trial, child rapist or not.

I understand they deserve a fair trail but these lawyers are basically trying to make sure that evidence that proves their clients guilty gets thrown out. I know this is their job, but it's not something I'm going to give them a pat on the back for.
kill them imo. I don't care about fake altruistic bullshit
they've invalidated their right to life as far as I care
If we kill them that means the death penalty exists.
It doesn't matter how much you think someone deserves to die. The death penalty is a pointless system and a financial drain on our country.

Listen buddy, I'm a Puerto Rican living in a not-so-big apartment complex. My room is the size of a suburban walk-in closet.
I would live here for the rest of my life rather than defend those people

Next thing you know people will say the justice system is full of scumbags for even giving them a trial at all.

Here's the thing, rape victims don't intentionally dress like "sluts".
Pretty sure they can just say "No" to defending men who raped an 11 year old girl.
The lawyers probably didn't know that there was evidence against their client. Saying that you have a video of a raped girl isn't a thing that you would normally say.

thats probably because when somebody IS typically sentenced to death, we keep them on deathrow for many MANY years.

im gonna murder you oh my god
Look, none of the lawyers in the case think gang rape is justified, its just they have to defend them because its their job.
Hell, the lawyers KNOW they're gonna get sentenced to jail, and they not there to make sure that doesn't happen, they're only involved in the case because, even though they are scum, the criminals have rights, and they need to ensure the court system respects that. I can guarantee none of the lawyers want to be in the position they're in. They just don't get the option.
It may not seem fair, but its they way things are. Now stop giving the lawyers shit, they're not the ones that gang-raped an 11 year old.
Next thing you know people will say the justice system is full of scumbags for even giving them a trial at all.
They deserve a fair trail, but the response to damning evidence in a fair trail shouldn't be immediately trying to find some way to have it thrown out.

Yeah, anyone dressing in a way that shows skin is just asking to be raped. I bet those dirty sluts enjoy it with their booze drinking college friends at parties.
"They're asking for it by doing x and x" is the most horrible excuse to blame the victim for these situations.
thats probably because when somebody IS typically sentenced to death, we keep them on deathrow for many MANY years.
And the reason for that is the appeals process.
And the appeals process exists for a very good reason.
thats probably because when somebody IS typically sentenced to death, we keep them on deathrow for many MANY years.
uh yeah probably because if you're going to have the death penalty then you better be damn sure that they're guilty
I'm still baffled at the, "I hate lawyers" comment. I mean seriously? Its their fucking job.
