who in the name of god thought this would be a good idea "hahaha, youre a human deserving of rights like us but your boobs are too small and were going to make fun of you on public television for it."
The only problem I have with this comment is that the women are CHOOOOOOSSSSIIINNNGGGG to be on the show. I mean, I am assuming... I don't think they went out and kidnapped women and forced them to be on the program. If this was men going around a public shopping mall saying, "That girl is fat, that lady is old, that lady is ugly" yeah okay, that is a bit wrong... But if the woman chooses to subject herself to the criticism why are the guys in the wrong? This has ALWAYS bothered me about the whole women's rights stuff. "Look at this women in a bikini posing for this magazine! This is so degrading to women and I can't believe she has to do this." She is allowed to show her body off if she wants to, she is allowed to have a job doing such as well. Just because YOU wouldn't subject yourself to it, this automatically makes other women a victim? That is bull shit.
I think the whole premise is completely idiotic, and I hope someone gets fired for this, but I really take this as a sentiment to the "anything goes policy" on Danish national television. The state doesn't censor anything, and I at least find that positive. I of course find it degrading to women and so on, but to my knowledge (and I have not seen the program) it's not just random women getting paid for doing this, it's public figures of some sort, agreeing to do this.
A bit tasteless, but, as the post above says, these women chose to be on the show right? Still can't believe DR2 would finance this... I mean, they are mostly about educational shit and politics, with a bit of comedy/satire thrown in every once in awhile. Is this supposed to be a satirical show? Then it makes a bit of sense. Oh I see, it's due to this whole debate in Denmark about how we need a new word for the female genitalia (instead of "fisse" and "kusse" etc.), so DR2 hired these two publicly renowned assholes to help come up with one. So, I'm fairly certain it's satirical... And DR2 usually makes offensive and tasteless satire, so, I should have seen this coming.

I feel the same way about models and strippers. What I don't agree with is these two men objectifying women on public television. Breaking a woman down by her parts and judging every singly bit of her? That is sending the wrong message to people.

I am sure they didn't say, "Ladies come on the show, get naked and we are going to say lovely things about you." They were probably fully informed about what kind of stuff was going to be said and what wasn't going to be said. I can see why you think it is a wrong message, but who are you worried about the message getting to? Your kids? Other peoples kids? You then bring in the fact that we have an issue with parenting. Instead of idle parents standing back and going, "Well I don't want to talk to my kid about it." They should STEP UP and EXPLAIN things to their kids. If a kid thinks its okay to go around and talk shit about girls the parents need to explain that is not how you act in public or private and that you should always be respectful. This show doesn't teach people to be disrespectful, it is just a show. Parents are the ones responsible for their kids being brought up knowing what respect is and how to act in public.
This reminds me exactly of an app called Lulu, its an app for women only who can rate and judge men, giving them scores which other women share and gossip about;
Lulu promotes itself as “the first-ever app for reading and writing reviews of guys, sharing tips, and having fun with your girlfriends. It’s by girls, for girls, with features and content we know we need. Everything you do on Lulu is totally private and anonymous. And it’s strictly girls-only – meaning no boys allowed. That means you can be brutally honest without worrying it will end up on someone’s Facebook wall or in your crush’s hands. -www.onlulu.com” Your privacy. His privacy deserves a good heel-grinding.
Not as direct as this TV show but equally as repulsive.
I dont get it, what are they saying? Bork bork bork
who in the name of god thought this would be a good idea "hahaha, youre a human deserving of rights like us but your boobs are too small and were going to make fun of you on public television for it."
Actually, if I understood the danish correctly (I'm swedish and danish sounds like someone is trying to talk with food in their mouths) then they said they thought her boobs were nice.
Nobody in denmark likes these guys. Just sayin.
So are they like critics of human bodies or something? People watch those food shows where some critics eat some food then tell us how good it all isn't and I find those just equally pointless to watch. Although, I don't think those shows are funded by the public service so there is some reason to dislike this show but I don't see the premise entirely wrong, just pointless is all.

I don't think I can imagine a more misogynistic TV show than this. Tried watching some of it when it aired, couldn't get through more than 5 minutes.
What's the point of this if I can't even judge them myself?
This is exactly what America needs. Really sick and tired of teenage girls and older women alike thinking they are hot shit when in fact they are disgusting pieces of shit.
You, sir, are an asshole.
This is exactly what America needs. Really sick and tired of teenage girls and older women alike thinking they are hot shit when in fact they are disgusting pieces of shit.
Get naked and post some pictures then There's no reason you should be exempt from criticism
Better than anything on American television networks.
This is exactly what America needs. Really sick and tired of teenage girls and older women alike thinking they are hot shit when in fact they are disgusting pieces of shit.
Do you not realize how illegal that show would be here? It's got naked women in it, and we can't have our precious little shits exposed to that kind of filth! Now if she was soaked in pig's blood and censoring herself with a big weapon, that would be more tasteful.
Not scrapping the bottom of the idea barrel as bad as the Channel 4 programme where you watch people react to watching this week's tv programmes. Basically a tv programme where you watch people watch tv programmes.
The premise of the show, as I've gathered it, was to desensitize the human (or actually, only the woman's body) body and make it less controversial, almost poetic, to discuss body ideals and how they are held by the porn industry, etc But as I've gathered from numerous articles; it doesn't seem that Bachman (the bald dude) goes all the way and instead keeps the discussion shallow without any deep conversation about anything really (the author next to him tries to add something meaningful but Bachman interrupts him and continues the critique of the woman in front of him). edit: In a way I believe that the show's premise would be beneficial; to discuss body ideals and make the human body less controversial. It's a unique and interesting idea of a show, but it's extremely one-sided and Bachman just appears as a massive bigot without anything real to say.
I'd like to believe this is the focus of the show. In all seriousness, there shouldn't be so much stigma and taboo circling the human body. It's completely natural...

Still I agree with you, just wish we didn't have to pick women apart piece by piece to accomplish this goal. It seems unnecessary.
Yeah there's never nudity on American TV Game of Thrones, True Blood, and all those other TV shows with nudity don't have nudity
It's still taboo in America.
It's still taboo in America.
Plus, those are all cable shows that are on networks that don't get regulated like broadcast TV is.
Pretty sure that clip is a scene from Taken....which should say something.
They're not criticizing her body, they're criticizing something in society, they're criticizing the overly sexualized view on women bodies. They're trying to seem academical and philosophic and as if they're trying to deconstruct sexism or something. But yes it's horrible, Blachman is an extremely arrogant shit and I don't really think he's coherent at all in this show. But it's still wrong to say that they're just criticizing the woman's body. [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] I'll admit I haven't watched the full episode, only the first ten minutes in a philosophy lesson. So I can't say whether Blachman is simply criticizing her, but if he is then that's not something against the show - because that's not what the show is about - that's something against Blachman.
they're criticizing the overly sexualized view on women bodies.
by having a naked women (who isn't allowed to talk) just stand there while two men talk about it?...
fap fap fap fap
This is exactly what America needs. Really sick and tired of teenage girls and older women alike thinking they are hot shit when in fact they are disgusting pieces of shit.
what?
They aren't talking that much about her body, at least not in that episode. They talk about how woman have sexual appeals, sexual education in schools, females dissapointing men etc. Might sound weird
Not as direct as this TV show but equally as repulsive.
Grow up.
