This looks nowhere near as good as GTAV IMO
It's not as if GTA5 is a bastion of next-gen graphics. The game still has a lot of muddy textures and pop in.
To say it looks nowhere near as good as GTA5 is a downright fib.
Jfc you guys are picky as shit. It looks leagues better than 3 and NV with more color and much better lighting. Gamebyro isnt that bad and literally the only problem i ever had with them was the long load times after playing for extended periods.
Gamebryo stuttering to a halt when you have more than 15 NPCs at once isn't that bad? 32bit isn't that bad?! Creation Kit crashing every half hour isn't that bad? You know nothing about Gamebryo if you think it isn't that bad, it's literally the worst engine still in use.
Actually IIRC cross-continental travel is very possible but you have to either go through the Midwest near the Canadian border or down South through Texas. Problem is Arizona and parts of Utah are still under Legion control (probably) while Texas is under Brotherhood control. Most travelers from the East head through the Midwest around Oklahoma and shit.
Yeah, but I mean it's not like you can just look west and walk from D.C until you hit the coast, you have to take a limited number of inconvenient routes to do it. Just enough to keep a barrier between the two 'worlds' of Fallout.
The graphics could be so much better :( but none the less I'm not a fair weather fan of the fallout series. I'm excited for this game and will definitely buy it. Hopefully steam workshop will help a lot :) it could look better but I'm hyped for the story more than the graphics.
I hope the bugs at launch are as funny as this

I'm excited for the game.
This trailer's way longer than I expected it'd be, at least after Doom.
So far, XCOM2, Fallout 4, lets see what else pops up.
Also please tell me where you're seeing this is on Gamebyro, because not even a superwizard development team could do this with Fallout 3's engine, and it looks WAY better than Skyrim does which makes me think they've overhauled it again.
Are you the same type of people who call Source a quake clone?
You're concerned about the graphics, when you should be concerned about how much character customization and RPG elements they've removed. And even then, having Troy Baker as the main character's male VA at least would give them an incentive to do some good writing for a change.
E3 hasn't happened yet and I'm already hyped as fuck goddamn
I seriously can't wait to see gameplay. The trailer made me so pumped.
Would you guys rather have a trailer that shows AMAZING graphics then be disappointed at the real game (watch_dogs, kinda Witcher 3) or ok graphics now and be surprised at the real game?
i really did wish they went back to the fallout 1/2 lore though, i mean they kinda did in new vegas but
Does it matter if they butcher fallout 1/2 lore though?
I mean as long as it's a good game I don't really see the problem
being physically unable to shoot an enemy 18 inches in front of you with a firearm because "dice rolls"
that's about the opposite of "the best games of all time"
stop playing rpgs then, dummy
i hope they make the biggest world ever with like blimps and boats
i hope they make the biggest world ever with like blimps and boats
Gamebryo is incapable of handling moving platforms, let alone large vehicles. The airship mod for Skyrim barely worked.
If it's like New Vegas I'll probably get it
I hope we have a sick collectors edition to go along with it
stop playing rpgs then, dummy
No one should tell him that the Mechwarrior games were all dice rolls.
The dog's a given, but I wonder what kind of cool/goofy companions will be in this one? That and if Beth will follow Obsidian's example and give them quests for more character development.
Don't forget Mothership Zeta implying that [sp]the apocalypse was caused by aliens.[/sp]
What's mentioned in the game does not affect anything at all in any way, as it's simply an implication that they possibly did it and nowhere is it outright said that was the cause. It only gives the idea that's what could have happened, there's nothing wrong with that.
the feel and art style doesn't exactly scream fallout at me tbh

I don't think Zeta's supposed to be canon anyway.

what? That makes no sense at all.

People are so in denial, they're comparing it to a 90's CGI cutscene as if that's a good thing.
Although it does look like fucking van buren.
Oh shit, we're going to Boston.
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Boston
Well good the rest of you can make out landmarks before the person who lives in the desert can.
Can't wait! Loved both of the previous Fallout 3-era games (Never played the originals), I'm sure this will just be as good.
I'm honestly glad with staying on a similar engine as before. Means you won't need a beefy, expensive computer to run it well - I'll probably upgrade soon though from my 750ti once I get a new PSU.
Also, removed the watermarks from the wallpaper they uploaded, feel free to use it

It's all happening this year. Source 2, XCOM 2 and now Fallout 4. This E3 is going to be one of the best in years.

Ugh how dare people like different things than I do
Why are people acting like a game engine can't be rewritten
Nothing about the tech other than visuals can be said at this point. It could suffer problems or be fixed up nicely, but being dismissive to change based off history is ignorant and regressive thinking.
It's the same shit over and over again with Bethesda.
step 1. create anticipation for new sequel. Slowly start building murmuring and hype.
step 2. Purposely leak that your game is in development to start anticipation train even further
step 3. blue balls
step 4. Release EPIC trailer, that's filled with camera sweeps and epic music, this is like the orgasm part for the fan who buys off marketing hype. (Remember the Skyrim trailer? Even I bought into that shit.)
Step 5. See that mountain?
Step 6. Make a shitload of money off all the hype, despite being a lazily made game with cut down content.
I don't think Zeta's supposed to be canon anyway.
Yes it is. It's canon, there's no reason to think it isn't. Things are canon unless the developer specifically says otherwise, not the other way around.
