Mind clarifying on your opinion of FO4, eh?
Well it's made by bethesda and the trailer pretty much confirms all the worries that came with it that fact
chances that it's gonna be shit are very high, simple as that. beth is relying on hype and marketing as usual, and people are visibly sucking it up.
so uh
why are you so gently salted about some game being announced
aw yeah, i'm posting on a forum
i'm so mad man
That would imply that your character is over 200 years old
what if vault 111's special experiment involves some kind of stasis
I probably should have been more specific before launching into a tirade about video games lol, I don't have a problem with people pointing out problems in video games or issues they want fixed. I just am irked by these weirdly flat comments like "im not even gonna play it if its on gamebryo". Like, huh? What? Is it really that big of an issue for you? Is seeing a single map leak as you're walking through a massive, populated open world really going to ruin your experience? I just wish more people were able to express their complaints about a game without jumping immediately to melodramatic ultimatums all the time.
I'm going to buy the shit out of this game
I'm going to buy it so hard
and then I'm going to play the fuck out of it, so hard, so throbbing
Too colorful. Will have to use SweetFX for sure, but that's no biggie
That would imply that your character is over 200 years old
Probably cryogenically frozen or something. I think they did something similar with a previous vault in either 3 or NV.

What worries did this confirm?
Would you guys rather have a trailer that shows AMAZING graphics then be disappointed at the real game (watch_dogs, kinda Witcher 3) or ok graphics now and be surprised at the real game?
Nobody is complaining that the trailer isn't CG enough though??
That would imply that your character is over 200 years old
frozen
considering the SPECIAL book laying on the ground in the house, i'd assume the player character is probably the baby in the crib that gets carried off to the vault

oh my god if I have to play as a small child for 40 minutes again I'm gonna go nuts
Physics now makes a whole game engine?
Physics is the least of the many bugs and problems with their previous titles. Not to mention that there's not necessarily anything wrong with that clip's actual physics simulation. The problem lies in the accuracy of the objects' physics bounds and the fact the characters aren't dynamically being affected by the sim. Asking for perfect physics/animation system interaction is unreasonable because it's an open problem across the industry. Like even cleanly syncing the physics engine to game time is hard for a large number of reasons.
Nitpicking because a game falls somewhat flat in an extremely challenging field is pointless, especially for a game with such a large scope. It's also kind of disrespectful to the people who worked on it.
I don't think Bethesda understands how heavy shopping carts are and how they totaaly would not go flying like that from some ghouls.
Why are people acting like a game engine can't be rewritten
Nothing about the tech other than visuals can be said at this point. It could suffer problems or be fixed up nicely, but being dismissive to change based off history is ignorant and regressive thinking.
Because we've done the song and dance of "Oh its a complete new engine, we swear! We rewrote it from the ground up!" once before already
(spoiler: it is exactly like before, but now supports fog effects)
I like the variety of bright colours. It makes a nice change from miles of brown and grey.
aw yeah, i'm posting on a forum

i mean
you pretty visibly are
the feel and art style doesn't exactly scream fallout at me tbh
The art style is alot more like the original games than it is like 3 and New Vegas.
How? It's just one trailer that got released 4 hours ago.
Sure it isn't graphically on-par with other games but at least wait for actual gameplay to be shown before declaring it's gonna be shit.
That would imply that your character is over 200 years old
cryogenic freezing probably
I bet the tutorial will be like the canned fallout 3. Playing an ancestor getting to the vault and getting it online as the bombs fall.
i mean
you pretty visibly are
Okay.
I'm excited for the colors and such, once you got rid of the green and orange overlays of 3 and New Vegas the worlds themselves actually became beautiful colorful.
I can't wait until we get fallout 3 color mods
I'll use it purely on the basis of really comparing how much it's improved
also, serious mod desire, I hope we get a mod like that one in fnv, where nights are far darker and without eyeglasses your character can't see for shit
I want to make my character unable to see shit :v: that extreme darkness makes it so intense

I liked that Fellout mod except it made it impossible to see at night but it didn't affect the AI at all so I would get killed by a group of bandits that I couldn't see without constant VATS aiming.

that's the fun of it
every encounter has you scratching your head at what the hell just happened, only to realize 5 hours later that there was a building right next to you the entire time
I was surprised in the trailer how blue the vault uniform was.
Tis how it should be.
the only good thing of it being made in bethbryo is the fact that modding is probably going to be in because idtech is a bitch to work with
on the other hand 32 bits limit...
He's hardly Edwin Booth, he does voices in kids' cartoons for Christ's sake.
do you actually think this is a good point? Dustin Hoffman started his career doing 30 second commercials, Christopher Lee spent 10 years playing extras and background characters.

Bryan Cranston was in a Preperation H commercial.
Actors past projects have little relevance to anything other than "What jobs they did to pay the rent and feed themselves".

thanks for clarifying; I see where you're coming from and I'm pretty damn cautious. Will probably wait for a couple reviews before buying this one. I want to see what the hell gameplay they show off at e3

It is entirely within their power to make a 64bit compiling; whether they did or not is another story.

I'm really interested to see what the nighttime is like in Fo4 (like multiple minutes of gameplay)
hopefully they show gameplay on e3

Skyrim has 64 bit compiling.
What are ya'll talking about? 32 bit isn't capable of the LAA that 64 bit was designed to do.
