People are so in denial, they're comparing it to a 90's CGI cutscene as if that's a good thing.
I actually liked that too tho and im far from being so hyped that im already playing apologist for the games flaws. Some parts of that trailer really were highly reminiscent of old school fallout pre-rendered cut-scenes, especially the scene with the garage and the bright blue spandex vault suit. That said, i wasn't too keen on a few of the environments shown, the overgrown ruins and scrapyard towns looked cool but some of those scenes looked hilariously like they belonged in a themepark
I hope it isn't "Brotherhood vs Enclave" again, the concept of the brotherhood being good and all was a terrible idea, it didn't fit them at all. They're supposed to be a bunch of techie hording assholes.
Skyrim has 64 bit compiling. What are ya'll talking about? 32 bit isn't capable of the LAA that 64 bit was designed to do.
Skyrim is absolutely 32bit.
I'll bite and say he's not that great of a VA for a different reason though. Mediocre script or not he's one of those voice actors with a simple on/off switch and he's stuck on like one generic setting. He's not really acting his characters out so much himself which isn't really an issue until he starts showing up in every other major release coming out in relatively the same period. Then it just gets annoying.
He was alright in shadow of mordor, but then maybe i only think that because its the only time ive ever heard him make any effort to not sound like himself.

I really missed the Enclave in New Vegas, they're definitely the most interesting Fallout lore faction imo and I really enjoyed them in Fallout 3. Hopefully Bethesda doesn't completely hamfist all the writing and we get a somewhat decent lore for 4.
do you actually think this is a good point? Dustin Hoffman started his career doing 30 second commercials, Christopher Lee spent 10 years playing extras and background characters.

Bryan Cranston was in a Preperation H commercial. Actors past projects have little relevance to anything other than "What jobs they did to pay the rent and feed themselves".
Again, my point wasn't that Troy Baker is a bad actor because he does voices in cartoons (Orson Welles voiced Unicron, didn't he?) My point is that his presence isn't going to somehow make the quality of FO4's writing any better, because Troy Baker doesn't have high standards when it comes to what projects he'll take on.
I'm sure it'll be a fairly enjoyable game for the first ~30 hours, then you'll spend another 100 with mods before getting bored after that though you may periodically pick it up again to try out new dlc or mods
Deathclaw appears to be wearing robes. Intelligent deathclaws are back. Maybe even Goris from FO2, depending on lifespan.
Fallout 2 took place in the Mojave wasteland, correct? If so, it can't be the character you're talking about. He would have had to have trekked all the way across the United States to Boston. Looks neat, but I personally don't like the atmosphere. Not saying it's bad though. I honestly enjoyed how Fallout 3 and New Vegas had a color scheme. It improved their atmosphere for me. The colorful look of this game is nice, but I, once again, personally, would have rather had some kind of focused color scheme. The player character's suit honestly looks ridiculous though. I saw a gif of it on tumblr on my phone earlier before I had time to come home and watch the trailer and I honestly thought it was from a cutscene from the first two games.
I've been hyped for so many games in the past couple years that I wonder how many years of my life I've lost just from being hyped all the time. I hope Fallout4 releases like early next year, I don't think my heart can take so much hype for much longer.
Skyrim is absolutely 32bit.
ENB has a patch about giving your newborn to the creator that enables more RAM allocation but it is unstable as fuck.
I'm only excited about the obsidian game that's going to come later. Bethesda is fuckin shit at creating interesting worlds and quests.
He was alright in shadow of mordor, but then maybe i only think that because its the only time ive ever heard him make any effort to not sound like himself.
Well, that's mostly because he was speaking with an accent, otherwise it still sounded like Troy Baker. In The Last of Us he did a pretty great job of not sounding like himself, playing a guy about 20~ years older than he is.
I'm only excited about the obsidian game that's going to come later. Bethesda is fuckin shit at creating interesting worlds and quests.
Someone really needs to get a straight answer out of Bethesda if they're ever going to let Obsidian touch the franchise again.
I think at this point I should admit to myself that I will definitely play the shit out of it. In fact, I'm probably gonna sit here and shoot damn near everything that moves. Even if it's terrible

Graphically it looks far better than the previous games which is really all I wanted. I wasn't expecting it to look incredible visually.
I don't think Bethesda understands how heavy shopping carts are and how they totaaly would not go flying like that from some ghouls.
You just ignored or just didnt understand my entire point. The weight of the cart in engine cant be inferred when the forces from the collision aren't also being distributed to the character. Thats simple physics. You're looking at velocity being directly applied from the animation system. Barely any games have 100% dynamic, physics based animation systems and that requires a much larger overhead, as well as dev resources that could be going towards making a better game.
Because we've done the song and dance of "Oh its a complete new engine, we swear! We rewrote it from the ground up!" once before already (spoiler: it is exactly like before, but now supports fog effects)
Disregarding a person or a collectives ability to change is inconsiderate and dehumanizing tbh. As for your obv wrong fog joke, pls don't blatantly insult devs just to prop up your cynicism. Can people not just let others do their work and then be judged by the results? I dont understand where some of the posts in this threads desire for vilification comes from. Its far better to reserve judgement and be open rather than assume the worst. I'm also troubled by people's lack of respect for the work that goes into making your entertainment. This happens for like every game ever, but its sad that without having a knowledge of what goes into making even a small game people try to string together assumptions to validate their biases. Lets see more, then start forming real opinions.
IIRC it's because the Eastern branch is somehow derived from the Texas branch and differed from the rest of the Brotherhood in the sense that they felt they should use their tech to help people.
I understand why bethesda made that design choice, every story in their games revolves around a very basic good versus evil plotline, but I do agree that everyone with high technology should be cocksuckers. The Enclave of course, but the brotherhood should be shitty as well. They have no reason to help anyone. The thing that makes the lore appealing for these kinds of groups is that it seems like through their knowledge and technology, they have a direct connection with the past, and that makes them almost alien because everyone else including the player character exists outside of that in the wasteland, with very little connection to the past. It's like a game where you and your wasteland reject companions take on the 1% and try to steal their tech. None of them should be helping me, I'm probably gonna be raiding their base for loot.
I'm so goddamn excited, I don't need super graphics I just need another Fallout, and this time I'm thinking they're probably going to all dual wielding and weapon mods, I cant sit still I'm so damn excited
I'm liking it. It's much more vibrant, I'm guessing because Boston didn't get a nuke head-on so there's still a lot of untouched houses and paint everywhere hasn't faded as much/places have been repainted. It seems like this city got it's shit together better, because there isn't as much of a "made out of junk in two days" feel like Megaton had, instead it's more "rebuilt over 25-30 years of progress" The trailer is SHIT, though. They probably wanted to show off a lot of setpieces, but Fallout 3 didn't do that and it's teaser trailer was MUCH stronger as a result. Same with the New Vegas one. Notice how both of those look ten times better than the Fo4 one, they've really dropped the ball this time around.
He would have had to have trekked all the way across the United States to Boston. And the suit is absolutely a homage to the first game, as well as some other parts of the trailer. God those animations in the trailer were so bad. Was that intentional?
I don't get why people are so bothered about the graphics, fallout 3 and nv both looked meh when they came out but they were still good
They should've played "Home on the Wastes" during the trailer, and I mean the J.E. Sawyer song.
They seem to put a lot of work into those lush green lands and happy towns. I'll be surprised if it doesn't feature in the game either as a prologue, flashback or even as some kind of time bending feature.
People will bitch for some reason. The graphics will probably be fine. As long as the gameplay is some crazy next level shit I won't mind and someone will mod it within no time. However after playing The Witcher 3 for what feels like the rest of my life, I really hope they step their game up. Building a basic RPG will not do well anymore.

You can actually call those teasers. This trailer is more of a 'wow look at all this' trailer. I am wow looking at all this though, can't wait.
The trailer is SHIT, though. They probably wanted to show off a lot of setpieces, but Fallout 3 didn't do that and it's teaser trailer was MUCH stronger as a result. Also notice how both of those are pre-rendered?
Yes.. Also notice how both of those are pre-rendered?
I did. Why change the workflow and do a live-rendered teaser for 4? Both previous games have live-rendered, actual gameplay trailers as the second or third trailer, released during E3. Those work well for showing off setpieces as well as graphics and gameplay. A live-rendered cinematic teaser looks bad in comparison.
ENB has a patch about giving your newborn to the creator that enables more RAM allocation but it is unstable as fuck.
And still 32bit. The 19.3 patch made all versions of Skyrim behave like the ps3 in memory allocation, which was as we see, a collosal fuck up.
