Money aside, the last gen consoles have been stretched to their limits, It's a wonder that games like GTAV and The Last of Us run as well as they do and look decent.
As pointed out earlyer , GTA 5 on last gen can't maintain an above 30 fps. Hell, GTA 5 on next gen can't maintain a solid 30, its just not as bad as last gen. I can't imagine any more shit being crammed onto last gen.
A console can also do more than merely play games.
With an XBOX One you can also watch TV! THe future!1!121!
Well if all you want to do is GTA then I don't see a problem with your logic
But since you can spend $650 for a pretty good PC that you can upgrade when you want with what you want, keeping it up to date and ready to play the latest and greatest, or replace a single part that eventually goes bust, that also does more than just play games, I don't know why you wouldn't go the PC route
Because I like inviting people over to my house to sit on my couch and play Madden or browse between Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix for a movie/TV show to watch with my wife. I also like to play Just Dance with my family and friends. There's many advantages a console can have over a PC and there are also some PC has over consoles. Also to put it out there I have a gaming PC and multiple consoles so I'm totally unbiased.
I don't really understand why this is being rated winner, it's an honest shame for people who won't be able to upgrade due to costs and the like.

Tech has to advance, if we went by this then we would be playing GTA 5 on the original Playstation.

No of course, I understand that completely, it's just this seems like a typical case of PC gamers jerking themselves off over the "peasants" being disadvantaged.

I don't like users being screwed over, it's a bad situation but at the same time, I don't want to be screwed over and be held back anymore than I already am due to their archaic 10 year old hardware.
The line needs to be drawn somewhere and in my opinion, they crossed it by releasing the game while the console was on its last legs three months before the next generation of hardware released.

You can do all of those except play NFL on PC aswell.
You can have as many joypads/controllers plugged in the PC; and you can control the PC interface with a controller aswell.
