I think it would actually go the other way around..the less chicken there is, the more expensive it is, and the more the Col. could sell it for...
The deal to give Chad planes to kill pro-democracy demonstrators

The Deal: Lockheed Martin wanted to sell C-130 military transport planes to Chad
Were they going to crash them into the crowds or something?
KFC should get a few squadrons and start air delivery. Load up a bunker buster with a fried chicken payload and shoot it at the customer's house.

I assume they would be used for transporting people to kill demonstrators.
Or maybe they will buy them and convert them to the AC-130 variant.

That's almost three times the base price.
There's barely any in operation, Chad isn't going to pull one out of their ass.

A(rmored)C-130?

Supply lines people. You can't kill your enemy if you can't get to your enemy.

They were going to keep them in an empty hangar and say to everyone "We got some planes. Yeah!".
generally when you say "about" you round it to 3 significant figures
i say about because i'm making an assumption
Or you could take the fight against hunger literally and strap a couple of chickens onto the jets
Chicken missiles? It's be like angry birds, you have to knock their shanty house down.

Believe it or not, but there's a reason the military consists of more then just fighters, bombers, soldiers, and tanks.
You're all missing out on the most important bit.
Stay classy, US govt.
How would they do that with a C-130? Normal ones don't have weapons
Bye, going to get several thousand chickens to trade in.
There's a frozen deer leg I found near my house that I'm willing to trade for a f-35.

I raise you a dead fox.
This is why I hate the news. Lockheed Martin didn't try to trade F-16s for frozen chickens, the chickens were offered as payment. (Although Lockheed Martin considering it is a bit awkward).

They don't use chickens in the food they sell.

News headlines are shit in general. The entire purpose of them is to grab your attention, "country tries to buy planes with chickens, gets told where to stick it" doesn't have the same ring really does it.
Wow, you Yanks really hate Russians.
Some of us "Yanks" really don't like that title, thanks.
But chicken for planes? How were they going to get it here. This is great. Oh oh! We fly the planes over, have them load the chicken, and fly back and they never get the planes.
