Merely 4,000 votes separate them at the moment

This is extremely close now

If Jones wins then I'm looking forward to Trump tweeting about how he initially endorsed Luther Strange and how Republicans would have won if they went with him instead.

Trump will be like "Roy Moore who? Never met the guy or heard of him, MAGA!"
LETSSS GO DOUGGGGGGGGGG
I'm expecting him to call the election 'RIGGED!' if Moore loses.
Well, the election is rigged. Just look at the suppression attempts. The question is, did they rig the election well enough to actually cheat out a win?
It's a 4,000 vote difference between Jones and Moore now on 538.

"But folks, I almost wonder whether this shift is now leading the model to underestimate the vote left in Democratic strongholds.
Check out MontCo. We think there are only 5k votes left... but half of the precincts are out, per AP..."
It's a 4,000 vote difference between Jones and Moore now on 538.
Then each's numbers jumped up 20,000 votes, but kept the 4,000 vote difference.
Holy shit.
Doug Jones just took the lead in the vote count on 538
If Jones wins. How disastrous would this be for the GOP? Because we seem to be setting a lot of weight on this election.
If Jones wins, I'm bringing a bottle of pinot noir to the office tomorrow. It's celebration time.
It just went even.
It's both 49.2% each holy shiiit
Politico and NYT now shows them as nearly tied with less than 200 votes separation.
Only 150 votes separate them now

It slims their already slim margin in the senate, and looks terrible because not only did they lose a Republican stronghold but the President backed a alleged child molester.

not disastrous at all. they'll just have one less seat. in fact people have theorized this isn't that bad for the gop because moore is just fucking crazy and would be a huge thorn in mcconnell's ass.

the GOP might finally realize that the alt-right crowd aren't the people to bank on, which the conservatives would love. Bannon and Breitbart are doing their war against the GOP, and will probably try to blame McConnell, who probably wouldn't care
TIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The moderate Republicans (the 3 remaining) now control the party, and it sets the Dems to wipe out the Senate in the midterm.

I'm not even American but if Jonesy wins I'm cracking open a can of fucking Guinness to celebrate
If Jones wins even despite the state's absurd, sinister gerrymandering I think it will say a really positive thing about Alabama.
Jones 83% chance of winning
I hope Sassy replaces Roy.

Gerrymandering doesn't apply in Senate elections
