He is doing the "I wanted Luthar Strange to win" shtick :v: Mother fucker Trump is predictable to all holy hell.
You could tell Trump wasn't fully behind Moore from the way he deleted his pro-Strange tweets, ignored all of the allegations and actively campaigned for him.

The results of the facepunch poll mirror the results of the actual election
Does that mean we're the Alabama of the internet forums?
Does that mean we're the Alabama of the internet forums?
Perish the thought.
Does that mean we're the Alabama of the internet forums?
I think if the vote was "who do you want to win", the results would be very different and would clearly show we are the exact opposite of the Alabama of the internet forums.

I'm extremely glad I was wrong.

All this poll shows is that slightly more than half of us are optimists. My hands hurt and yet I am still happy
The real MVPs are the women who braved alt-right harassment and intimidation to speak out against Moore.
Ok so, I'll fucking bet a paycheck that The_donald is already coming up with conspiracy theories about how "every future republican candidate will have 30-40 year old false rape allegations"
It's already happening. Some people are hijacking the #ThankYouAlabama hashtag on Twitter, and the result is a cesspool of victim blaming and claiming the accusations are false right now.

I voted for Roy Moore in the poll because I thought he would win, not that I wanted him to win. Next time we do a thread like this, the poll question should be worded better.

How long until Trump decides that this election was a sham?
I think if the vote was "who do you want to win", the results would be very different and would clearly show we are the exact opposite of the Alabama of the internet forums.
All this poll goes to show is that Facepunch has its finger right on the pulse of Alabama. We know exactly how Alabamans think.

Also Moore isn't the first pedophile that the GOP has supported, if you count Dennis Hastert.
does this effect the inbound net neutrality vote at all?
Also Moore isn't the first pedophile that the GOP has supported, if you count Dennis Hastert.
The GOP doesn't have moral standards, nothing new here
does this effect the inbound net neutrality vote at all?
No. The FCC is the only one voting on neutrality, and their decision can be challenged by the Supreme Court but not the senate, iirc
No. The FCC is the only one voting on neutrality, and their decision can be challenged by the Supreme Court but not the senate, iirc
How are my state reps getting paid to fuck with it then? I don't fully understand it. [editline]13th December 2017[/editline] I was told around ~4 of my state reps were paid amounts ranging $10k-28k to vote in favor of repeal or something, including Todd Young, but if they don't actually have any voting power at the moment, what is this for? Insurance? I thought it could go to the senate
Just remember that this isn't the time to rest easy, because there are still plenty of Republican voters out there, and they seriously believe shit like this.

Obama was largely responsible for the drone strikes on ISIS' warehouses full of treasure to pay their fighters with. Literally the opposite is true oh my god I'm done

The figures that I have seen for my representatives mainly speaks to donations to their campaigns by telecoms, which is implying that those donations influenced their stances on NN. Other figures you may have seen for reps in the state legislature may be much more insidious, as telecoms regularly lobby and help reelect local reps to pass legislation that outlaws municipal telecoms and makes it a nightmare/nearly impossible to try and start a competing telecom business where there are already incumbent businesses. Long story short, the senate and house likely won't be able to impact anything NN related unless a new bill is presented, and won't have anything to do with the FCC vote that is occurring soon. (Though I believe a newly proposed bill is currently making rounds).
I voted for jones in the poll because I thought that he had a good chance due to the amount of evidence against moore. I was expecting a tossup and I got what I imagined. Congrats Alabama on barely scraping by and not electing a pedo.
