See, that's the problem with our democracy. You can't vote AGAINST someone, you can only vote FOR someone. It doesn't matter how bad the OTHER guy is if the person you're voting for is also bad. We should be abstaining until somebody who is actually GOOD rolls along. And none of this closet-republican Bob Barr Ron Paul shit, either.
You sound like these conspiracy nutjobs. How is Obama bad? Really? And even more, how will you determine when a person is actually good?
You sound like these conspiracy nutjobs. How is Obama bad? Really? And even more, how will you determine when a person is actually good?
His policies on economics and health are no better than Bush's and he's feeding into the notion that the Executive Branch has more responsibilities than enforcement. We shouldn't be looking to a president for change, we should be looking to a president for stability. That is their job. Congress and the Supreme Court are where change happens, and Barack Obama has no place in either. I will determine when a person is good when their voting record matches their platform, and when their platform matches mine. There is no other reason TO vote. [editline]06:01PM[/editline] And I am far from a conspiracy theorist.
I call bullshit Also my internet cut out on me when I clicked on this page :tinfoil:
You sound like these conspiracy nutjobs.
huh
I would say the flaws in our democracy stems more from the two party system. Any third party will have no chance.
And that flaw is our fault. We let the parties get so ingrained, we allowed a two-party winner-take-all democracy to become so firmly established. They won't fix it, so the people have to. And you do not fix a flaw like that by feeding into it.

But yes you are right, it is mainly our fault.
