I side with Lankist because Trotsky fails to provide proof for his argument. /debate
If you had read the Constitution you would realize our government is incompatible with what you are suggesting.
Combining the executive branch with congress is impossible? Hell House of lords and house of commons is similar to that of House of representatives and senate.
I'll ask now:
How would a parliamentary system solve party issues?
It's just a matter of set up. Over 10 parties make up parliament as a whole. In the senate, there is 3. The independent is the minority.
you have a ruling party, opposition party and the shadow parties. If you're worrying about too much power, the parliament has a lot of regulation.
Fuck no, because I don't know fuck about England and you don't know fuck about the US.
You don't know anything about England so that means I don't know anything about America?

Who promoted you to third party?

I am not an expert and therefore do not comment with any basis of knowledge on scientific issues, geopolitical issues, medicine, foreign politics, war fighting and tactics and economics.

Knowledge is only present via a degree. amirite

Have you read the Constitution? You claim you have but I am entirely unconvinced.
How precisely do you suggest we go about merging the two branches, anyway?

Splitting the oligarchical power into ten parts doesn't solve the problem, it just makes it more complicated.
You can still only vote for the people that parties choose for you.
You don't know anything about England so that means I don't know anything about America?
When you think there is absolutely no Constitutional conflict with such an asinine suggestion that fact is fairly obvious.

ITT Trotsky pretends he knows as much as people who hold degrees in various subjects.

That I couldn't answer. Politically, just set it up like a parliament, the process of doing so is not really that much of a setback.
Splitting the oligarchical power into ten parts doesn't solve the problem, it just makes it more complicated.
It may make it more complex, but it makes it less potent.
You can still only vote for the people that parties choose for you.
In England you vote for parties and people. It's a combination.
When you think there is absolutely no Constitutional conflict with such an asinine suggestion that fact is fairly obvious.
Never said that.

k
didn't say that
lolk
That I couldn't answer. Politically, just set it up like a parliament, the process of doing so is not really that much of a setback.
No, because that sort of radical change is not permitted in the Constitution and would not be accepted by The People. Nothing short of violent and deadly revolution could bring about such a change.
It may make it more complex, but it makes it less potent.
Then it isn't a solution. It just sweeps the problem under the rug.
In England you vote for parties and people. It's a combination.
And there is plenty of room to implement something like THAT within the US Constitution. The problem lies in that almost all of the power rests in the Party officials who choose candidates, where the citizenry only get to pick which party assigns the members of government. It hasn't always worked like that, and it doesn't have to work like that. We used to vote for individuals and with the advent of information technology we can again.
Voting should not be so simple as picking a party. That defies educated choice.
Never said that.
But therein lies the problem. Ignoring our Constitution would be akin to the English killing the Queen and burning the castle. There are people who want to I am certain, but does that seem like the right thing to do?
k

To imply hearsay is on the same level of formal education is nonsense.

I'm not the one who's a hippo. I've asked you multiple times to provide a birth certificate, but you haven't complied. You obviously don't have a scanner, because you live in an African savanna with all the other animals. The humans didn't drop a scanner with you and you probably don't even have a birth certificate because animals don't have fucking hospitals.
You're also anti-American.

In England

Well there's your problem.

I don't even care if you were pointing this out about someone I don't like, but he doesn't have to provide a birth certificate to someone on the INTERNET... Nor should he, seems like a bad idea on all accounts. He's not un-american.. He pretty much believes in the very words of the constitution, you know, those of freedom and small government, and little interference.. I don't think that's un-american, and who say's it's so great to be american anyways? That's a bad argument.
FIRST THE INTERNET... THEN THE WORLDD!

You don't know what communism means. This is more like FASCISM.

Uhh, there's a difference between reform and violent revolution.

If you would like to pick up were Trotsky left off:
How would what you propose solve anything?
[editline]06:29PM[/editline]
Aside from leading to the deaths of thousands, if not millions.

Don't be a fucking nazi.
We don't have an overpopulation problem here. More than half the goddamn land is rural.

Funfact: the countries that are doing the best in the world are actually quite socialistic.

Only one who hates him? People everywhere hate him because they just need someone to blame. He hasn't fixed the economy yet, and blah blah blah, people accuse him of being communist, socialist, everything. For no fucking reason. You have no reason to hate him. He's as good as the next president, we'd be stuck in this situation with any other president too. He's also not socialist, and socialism is normally a good thing. HURP A DERP.

One would think America would have gotten over the whole Cold War attitude by now.
Or that since we hate socialism so much, most of us would at least have a vague clue as to what it actually is.
But apparently not.
Grab your molotovs chaps we're going to the White House.

But, that is just your belief, as a libertarian, you want as little government control as possible. You don't trust the government. Us trying to tell you you're wrong is like telling a christian fundamentalist that his/her beliefs are wrong, so there is just no reason to keep arguing.
People bitch too much. This is much the same as how the government can shut down the telephones in a state of emergency.
Too many retards here just waiting to pounce on obama for anything.
