• Iranian-American man forgets his gun is in his computer bag, brings it through security

The fun part is that not only are the current searches going to continue for years to come, but more then likely they're going to get worse. The government rarely gets rid of something once it's in place, especially as later generations get used to it and think of it as, "just another part of life."
Deport him and his family.
This kind of reminds me of how NASA spent a lot of money developing an ink pen that writes in space, but the Russians just used a 10 cent pencil XRay Body scanners, metal detectors, pat downs, and all it took was a lousy bag to conceal a Glock But let's be honest, Human Error is the number one reason behind accidents, even in plane crashes
Deport him and his family.
Why? It was developed independently with no federal funding, the inventor just offered it up to nasa. [editline]17th December 2010[/editline] And it cost a mighty 6 dollars per pen.
Why? [editline]17th December 2010[/editline] Your avatar is a handgun man, your point is invalid. That's a myth.
Not that a marshall on every plane is economically feasible.
Employing thousands of TSA workers and maintaining countless pieces of high-tech security equipment vs. hiring rent-a-cops and giving them handguns
It's like making your password password SO OBVIOUS, NO ONE WOULD EVER GUESS
So has anyone actually been "Caught" by one of these things?
So has anyone actually been "Caught" by one of these things?
nope
He should be charged/in jail
They probably let him past due to that it would be politically incorrect to assume that an armed Arab is a terrorist.
And this is what happens when you start looking at the most detailed, ridiculous shit instead of taking care of the obvious risks. Good job TSA.
Over two million lighters found, and a single Glock got through. Good work, TSA.
I wonder what would happen if you had a metal plate in your body shaped like a holster or somthing
He should be charged/in jail
For what? Accidentally bringing a gun with him on a plane? He reported it and everything; what did he do wrong? [editline]17th December 2010[/editline]
They probably let him past due to that it would be politically incorrect to assume that an armed Arab is a terrorist.
honestly sometimes i wonder how some fpers manage to keep breathing
It's like making your password password SO OBVIOUS, NO ONE WOULD EVER GUESS
the best password is *******
He should be charged/in jail
For what, exactly?
Great, first Adam Savage, now this guy, TSA is getting fucking lazy nowadays.
Same thing happened to me. I got to the hotel and realised I still had both my guns.
For what? Accidentally bringing a gun with him on a plane? It is a big deal to bring weapons in an airport, intentional or not.

Pardon me, I'm off to take my Barret .50 cal on the plane to Russia
Yes, the point is they don't. Cost reduction means hiring the TSA or Government to do the job works out a lot better. The private sector almost always works out to be more efficent in carring out duties.
Because they cut corners governments can't without getting shat all over by government haters...such as yourself. Its always more costly with the government because they don't want to be screamed at by everyone. Thats why we get stories like these.
honestly sometimes i wonder how some fpers manage to keep breathing
Me too - Especially the ones too dumb to recognize satire.
