Honestly he's not a fucking prophet If I said Obama would get a second term, would I be on the news? [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] Well he sorta created the first easily accessible home computer, no biggie
I thought that was Wozniak
Apple was established on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne, to sell the Apple I personal computer kit. They were hand-built by Wozniak and first shown to the public at the Homebrew Computer Club.

The Apple II is an 8-bit home computer, one of the first highly successful mass-produced microcomputer products, designed primarily by Steve Wozniak, manufactured by Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) and introduced in 1977
Jobs didn't build those
But the iPod was awfuly implemented...
How so?
Because I like Apple. Who knows, maybe it was Jobs' idea for the iPod.
you like apple so steve jobs is a great guy? ok also no he didnt teams of people all over came up with it and it's an mp3 player so it's not his idea obviously
I thought that was Wozniak Jobs didn't build those
It was, but Jobs did fund him, and help him create Apple. Without Jobs helping him, Wozniak probably would never have started a full business selling pre-built machines. That is all Jobs was, a excellent businessman who could see the potential in products. He didn't know much about the technology, in fact, watching some of his keynotes, he seems genuinely confused by some of the things he was announcing. But his company did help get most of the consumer computing devices we see today popular, like the pre-built, smartphone and tablet. Thankfully there are other companies out there to make these devices actually useful and affordable.
While I agree he was a douche bag and misanthrope, he wasn't all bad.
This is true, he was kinda bipolar. He actually was a nice guy sometimes, and he was pretty good friends with Bill Gates. But he was also fiercely competitive, which is why he comes off as being an asshole sometimes, but it's also the reason why Apple is what it is today.
1. Co-found a company 2. Be a psycopathic jackass douche 3. make shiny shit 4. ??? 5. Profit
That is all Jobs was, a excellent businessman who could see the potential in products.
Apple makes tons of money because they exploit third world labor to build parts for cheap and then sell the resulting hardware to yuppies for hundreds of dollars. The company itself suppresses competition by suing anyone trying to make a similar product. Successful businessman? Absolutely. Excellent businessman? I'm not so sure. The word "excellent" conveys a lot of qualities that Apple as a company certainly does not possess.
