alternatively do away with them entirely, they're ridiculously overdone anyway

25 MPH speed limits are utter shit anyway, cripes if your kid is so fucking dumb he gets run over by a car going (god forbid) 26 in a 25
Jensen's apartment is in Detroit. :smith: Sorry.
Pretty much. Seriously, spend some time in Google Maps or something. They literally have tons of schools they closed and abandoned due to (usually) funding issues.

This is a pretty interesting site. Bonus if your interested urbex stuff.
I'm trying to figure out why there is like only one high school on there. Is there a reason why so many elementary and middle schools are abandoned?

Champions Online takes place in Detroit. Detroit is a place known for cars. There's also a turn-based strategy game called Detroit. What does any of this have to do with the article?

cops aren't going to pull you over for doing 26 in a 25, speed limits are set specifically to allow for slight variations in speed without danger
but if it's around the time where kids are getting out of school and there are cars lining both sides of the streets, a kid could pop out at any time and if you're speeding during that time you deserve to have your license torn apart

Except some kids (especially the younger ones) are pretty ignorant of traffic laws and traffic in general. The entire point is that if a kid DOES run out in front of you, you can stop quickly.
Besides, you guys got it off easy. School speed limits here are 15 MPH.

Advice from a bus driver, I can respect that.

To be honest, I'm not a bus driver. Somebody gave me that title for some reason because I have had this avatar for so goddamn long. Still, I admire bus drivers for the shit they have to go through.

I've yet to determine why the city feels the need to inform us the children are in special education, though.
It's the fucking Detroit Public Schools - you'd understand if you lived anywhere near here. They don't even have money to afford textbooks so richer districts around them often end up donating books and teachers in good faith (which they get trial books for free from companies because they're rich).
It isn't from the Detroit Public School system, its from the White Lake Public School system.
