Wow, don't even begin to assume you know my morals, you don't know shit.
I've seen what you approve and disapprove of, often helping the rich and hurting the poor. Guess what? This is why people think you're a republican, because you want what republicans want. Which is why I assumed you had their morals as well, or rather a lack there-of.
The hell? Jeez everyone here is very "one or the other, there is no inbetween" here. usual republican social policies scare the shit out of me. But the general idea of "stop spending so goddamn much" (which I know at some point in time used to be a republican point) is one thing i'm at least somewhat for. I'm not a republican, but the only candidate with any policies that I half like is Cain, and he just so happens to be a republican. How in the hell does that make me conservative, republican, or morally unsound?
aiding the republicans to come into office and erect their policies when you don't agree with them is exactly why third parties never get anywhere. if you vote republican, you vote for republican policies. it doesn't matter how many of them you agree with, you voted to enact all of them. don't tell me there's no in between, because the GOP doesn't believe there's a in between either.
yes but both george bush and reagan have done terrible things to the county, unwinding all the social progress and prosperity that progressives have worked so hard to set up. so yeah voting republican is morally a dick move
Yeah his deregulations of advertising is why we have such shallow values and sexist depictions on TV.

I say 'less extreme' because Democrats are less ideologically cohesive than Republicans.

Sure, you MIGHT get on the ballot, if you sleep with the ballot committee, but you aren't getting elected and thats just that. The other GOP dudes bash Cain because he doesn't act like a pure social conservative. He acts like his personal beliefs go one way and his government policies will go elsewhere. As it stands, I want cain in the white house. I don't see anyone else there on either side of the line that is heading in the right direction for our country. At the same time, you don't see anyone on the GOP side of the line that is heading in the right direction. We have different opinions, different morals, and different ideas about how things are supposed to be heading. I want Cain, you want... Someone not GOP. Thats how its gonna be. We'll see at the 2012 election how things are going to go.
There is no chance in hell of an independent taking office with this 2 party system we have going here.
yeah not with people like you voting no
The other GOP dudes bash Cain because he doesn't act like a pure social conservative. He acts like his personal beliefs go one way and his government policies will go elsewhere.
that's bullshit he wants to continue the drug war, ban gay marriage, and ban abortion. what the fuck kind of shit is that? the other GOP dudes bash Cain because they are fighting for the nomination. once the election is over they'll go back to giving each other rimjobs over Obama slurs.
At the same time, you don't see anyone on the GOP side of the line that is heading in the right direction.
yeah not with people like you voting no
Shit dude this is the first time i'm able to vote, lay off.
that's bullshit he wants to continue the drug war, ban gay marriage, and ban abortion. what the fuck kind of shit is that? the other GOP dudes bash Cain because they are fighting for the nomination. once the election is over they'll go back to giving each other rimjobs over Obama slurs.
Can you please show me where it says that if elected, he will do that? The other GOPs bash cain because they don't want HIM in the election. Else they wouldn't have ALL targeted him and him alone in the previous debate. And I pity the poor soul who would be giving bachman a rimjob. Her ass is probably lined with bible pages from a cross shaped dildo.
too bad obama's gonna win.
We shall see, we shall see.
The other GOP dudes bash Cain because he doesn't act like a pure social conservative.
He's one of the more socially conservative dudes running for the nomination. I think santorum eclipses him but still

It's like someone is just giving him cue cards and he just repeats whatever is on it without knowing what he's actually saying. This was really showing during that abortion question someone linked earlier on this page. He's a mouthpiece for an organization or company that sees what's happening with the republican voters and their tendency towards favoring the craziest candidates early on in the election, so they went for the most unlikely candidate they could find, and gave him a list of buzzwords. Even Cain doesn't know what his policies are.
I would also note that it is similar, but less extreme for Democrats. I say 'less extreme' because Democrats are less ideologically cohesive than Republicans.
They don't vote in lockstep
Shit dude this is the first time i'm able to vote, lay off.
and you're gonna vote for some pizza lobbyist?
and you're gonna vote for some pizza lobbyist?
Mmmmyeah. Last I checked there was no required vote for your first time in the ballot box.

He called Planned Parenthood "Planned Genocide" and is against gay marriage as much as anyone else.

[editline]31st October 2011[/editline] But is he going to govern our country that way?
Keep telling yourself that a person wont act on his beliefs/interests, especially if he's a Republican pawn.
But is he going to govern our country that way?
Why...wouldn't he?
Why...wouldn't he?
because he might understand that there is a way to keep personal beliefs and a way to govern a large body of people?
Just stop. Please. Just stop.
because he might understand that there is a way to keep personal beliefs and a way to govern a large body of people?
Really, so how do you think he would decide social policy?
I have no clue, we'll find out in 2012
But is he going to govern our country that way?
Yes. If he wasn't he wouldn't be going on about it as adamantly as he is. And why do you think gay marriage isn't legalized, or why abortion is still so hotly debated. Because, like it or not, modern conservatives want govern this country socially as well as economically. What have you seen that says that he won't govern this way? Just a gut feeling? If so, then you're more naive than I thought.
I have no clue, we'll find out in 2012
So you're going the Nancy Pelosi route of "We have to pass (elect) the bill (candidate) to find out what's in it (what he will do)"?
So you're going the Nancy Pelosi route of "We have to pass (elect) the bill (candidate) to find out what's in it (what he will do)"?
Umm, not that I know of, no. I was going the "He hasn't come out and said X or Y about what he'll do in the big chair, so we'll have to wait, especially considering he isn't even the GOP nominee yet" route as far as I knew. I mean, come on, the election is another year away.
I have no clue, we'll find out in 2012
No we won't because like Palin and Bachmann, Cain will fade away into obscurity by then He's just another candidate in the GOP's long line of comedy candidates
No we won't because like Palin and Bachmann, Cain will fade away into obscurity by then He's just another candidate in the GOP's long line of comedy candidates
Then we'll fine out when the nominations come around.
Jeez. Don't talk to democrats if you want a nice discussion. Lesson learned.
You say this in every remotely political thread I've seen you in. When are you actually going to, you know, stop talking? [editline]31st October 2011[/editline] In all seriousness, though, lose the persecution complex, people can't take you seriously if the moment you're criticized you throw your hands up and go "AUGH YOU ALL HATE ME MEANIES".

In all seriousness though, I might be less inclined to say that if the people I talk to were less... I dunno... shitty about their awesome opinion? But yeah, of course you hate me, I'm a republican. Thats news to me, I didn't realize that having my own opinion that was something else other than yours meant that, but if thats what you believe then whatever.

And you still don't get why people say you're a Republican? Are you really that dense?
You go on and on about voting for Republicans, defending their policies, giving them power. And you still don't get why people say you're a Republican? Are you really that dense?
No, I go on and on about supporting Herman Cain. I defend his economic policies and I want him in office. I don't like his social policies, but we've been over that already. I don't directly support either party. They're both a bunch of fucking psychos that want a different colored shovel to be used to dig us deeper into shit. Cain is flying the republican flag, but something about him just... doesn't feel republican.
