Pretty cool, would this also mean nutrient cultivation would be a much more effiecent process, as I imagine something like this would be required to accomodate the huge amount of extra people living around.
If you won't die of ageing, there's a high probability you die by accident or murder instead. The world would get overcrowded if we'd gain immortality.
Huh. Thinking about this has gotten Parabola stuck in my head.
Step closer to Ghost In The Shell.
Transhumanism is fascinating.
Oh god, imagine furries having this.
There's a lot more fucked up things you can have sex with than animals with human-like features. [editline]07:22PM[/editline] It's very interesting to think about what the world is going to be like in thirty years. That is, if we haven't blown ourselves up by then.
I just realised the scientist who said this is 61. They better hurry up then!
I will give $1000 ( Adj. for Inflation ) dollars to any facepuncher who lives to 500. See you in 2509 folks!
virtual sex hmmm....
Didn't they say that flying cars were gonna be here by 2001?
This is kind of believable, actually.
Didn't they say that flying cars were gonna be here by 2001?
Yeah but instead we got the internet.
Didn't they say that flying cars were gonna be here by 2001?
Yeah. They're called planes.
Yeah. They're called planes.
And then they crashed into our towers.
I see you caught my edit there.
:3:
Well, thats really cool. I want to be able to pick up buildings as much as the next guy. And the next guy is a construction worker. I don't know where i'm going with this.
self-lacing shoes
Who needs laces?
I would hope it would not come to this. We already have too many people as it is, and eventually we'll start driving other animals to become extinct and such because of our needs.
I'm not sure if I want to be around these people for eternity. Might get a little boring, only 6,000,000,000 people.
What, who said my brain cant send impusles to electrical equiment? Who said my brain cant be on Life support Who said my life cant be forever can go .... uh live forever also XD
I remember reading an article on why immortality would suck. The part of your brain that handles time and such degrades over time, so eventually you won't have any memories of anything, won't know what's going on, and will literally only live in the moment for billions of years until eventually the sun does that expanding thing, and you'll just forever float in space with no memories or anything at all. So yeah, there's kind of a reason people die.
well see we got that "brain gel" stuff now. to take care of stuff like that. and creep you the fuck out. [editline]06:00PM[/editline]
What, who said my brain cant send impusles to electrical equiment? Who said my brain cant be on Life support Who said my life cant be forever can go .... uh live forever also XD
what the fuck are you talking about, who are you asking? god damn, i am SO confused right now [editline]06:01PM[/editline]
Oh god, imagine furries having this.
no
I wouldn't do this, I don't want to see the sun explode and all of us die a very painful death by having our skin melted off our bones.
I wouldn't do this, I don't want to see the sun explode and all of us die a very painful death by having our skin melted off our bones.
That would be a pretty badass death, sign me up.
I wouldn't do this, I don't want to see the sun explode and all of us die a very painful death by having our skin melted off our bones.
by the time that happens we'll probably have a means of leaving the solar system en masse.
You know this is the same as what they said about flying cars and moon bases in the 1980's and we still don't have those.
That would be a pretty badass death, sign me up.
if I knew I could not escape the solar system, I would ride a rocket right into it. or better yet, a bomb, sunshine style.
Have fun deciding when you're going to die once you're bored of living.
Have fun deciding when you're going to die once you're bored of living.
I would, because I could plan every aspect of my death.
That's awesome. We could use the tech to replace damaged organs in accident victims.
Fucking Darth Vader shit happening there man
