It's called the spoiler effect and we wouldn't have it if our voting system was halfway decent.

Yeah, our system is horribly flawed, but I didn't think I needed to say that. The example speaks for itself.

How does it feel to stand on the sane side and look out on utter chaos and destructive elitism?
Feels good :smug:
But seriously, it's nerve-wracking.
first off. Sponsor-stickers/logos. Like race-drivers. I want to see who's paying since that'll tell me more about his political agenda than the bullshit talks he gives on his way up there.
Secondly, Every religious aspiring politician needs to take an IQ test and then a "general historical facts and scientifically proven theories" test and then needs to acknowledge his holy book as myths for gainful interpretation.
I mean. Imagine me talking about going to Valhalla for massacring people while high on shrooms. Why is any other ancient religion any better?
Third: When you vote, you need to answer 3 objective questions to prove that you what the fuck you're voting for. (that's a special one only for the south).
Fourth: Fix the fucking swiss-cheese of an amendment and only pass laws that doesn't discriminate anyone in the name of any religious figure. Christ guys, how fucking though is this? This shit is what third grade demands over here and your officials and shit can't do it?
Fifth: Tear down your sensationalistic, patriotic culture and build it up from the bottom again so you actually have something to be patriotic about. You're the most prejudiced nation in the west. Congrats.

I hate to tell you but there are dumb voters everywhere, not just the south.
I dont even follow American politics and even I have been thinking 'Wow, everyone currently running for president is insane'
I'm glad to hear there is hope of Obama getting another term. I think a large portion of younger people will vote for Obama, the GOP just seems to cater to very old fashioned values and religious nutbags.
