But it did stop, after 30 minutes.
I wonder if it was like some disgruntled worker or just a mistake
Pretty much certainly the former
30 minutes of porn? So what were CNN viewers expected to do for 29 minutes and 30 seconds?
http://www.mediaite.com/online/did-the-media-fall-for-a-fake-story-about-cnn-airing-30-minutes-of-hardcore-porn-last-night/ [qoute]UPDATE: 4:25 p.m. EST: A CNN spokesperson tells Mediaite, “Despite media reports to the contrary, RCN assures us that there was no interruption of CNN’s programming in the Boston area last night.”[/qoute] It looks like it might not have even happend.
Waiting for the reveal that this was all a hoax by that one group of people who despise CNN.
someone hates their jooob :trumpet:
wow, I haven't seen a woman get fucked that hard on cnn since election night!
It's fake guys. http://www.snopes.com/cnn-half-hour-porn/ This is how fake news spreads and a small article on it from the Verge http://www.theverge.com/2016/11/25/13748226/cnn-accidentally-airs-porn-fake-news-boston
It's on Redtube as, and I apologise for the slur, "Tranny babysitter Riley Quinn ass fucked".
There's a longer version if you search her name on Motherless.
well google and facebook promise to remove fake news sites...... right
So uhhh... Anyone got source on the video shown? This sort of stuff always gets me curious to see just what the fuss is about.
Same here. If anything, this story might give her earlier work some publicity. Or at the very least, get me to check out what videos they were in later on this evening. Also, I do find the title "Professional Baccarat Player" a bit of an oxymoron, since isn't baccarat a highly random card game with barely any strategy to it, even when compared to stuff like poker and blackjack? Either way, Riley Quinn probably wouldn't play punto banco. After all, punto banco is to baccarat what a toilet full of spoiled meat is to a fine wine.
Whoever ended up doing this is probably cleaning out their desk now.
whoever did it probably didn't work for cnn. broadcast hijacking happens all the time. the most famous one is probably the max headroom incident but disney channel has had porn on the air twice in the past 10 years
Is somebody going to update the OP that the story is confirmed for being fake? I have a feeling a good number of people won't read down to the bottom of the page to find out.
Scary how easy it is, and how many people believed it just because it was in an article.
Now imagine weaponizing it
Scary how easy it is, and how many people believed it just because it was in an article.
Well thank the traditional media who started to lift news from twitter. This whole situation was bound to happen someday. So many reporters were taking news directly from twitter, often without giving credit, sometimes battling to be the first to get someone who is "reporting from the ground" Doesn't suprise me at all that fake stuff makes it through so easily.
"Why were you let go from your previous job?" "I aired porn accidentally for 30 minutes."
They didn't agree with her ideas of entertainment.
So here is the person who started this mess on twitter: https://www.reddit.com/r/legaladvice/comments/5f09as/ma_im_the_person_who_reported_the_porn_on_rcncnn/
Between 10:30 and 11, I checked Twitter and Reddit to see if anyone else had reported the porn. No one else did. So, I tweeted about it, tagging @RCNconnects, asking if anyone else in Boston saw it. I tweeted a few more times, including tagging a local news aggregator, @universalhub. I included pictures, and made a few jokes about how many an angry intern broadcast the porn. I engaged with a few friends and strangers on Twitter, and then went to bed.
And this is how this went crazy.
Of course it's fake. You think 30 minutes of air time is going to go unmonitored or porn unnoticed by a 24/7 network? Not a chance
ahh they made a good point about fake news now heres this great idea lets censor outlets because they might report fake news also a good idea cut the fat from the bacon etc i wonder what the next step will be
ahh they made a good point about fake news now heres this great idea lets censor outlets because they might report fake news also a good idea cut the fat from the bacon etc i wonder what the next step will be
Because who are you honestly going to put in charge to decide whether the story is written within their perceived reality? If such a precedent were to exist we'd be apologizing theocracy. [sp]RIP Onion[/sp]
The fact that several outlets actually took the bait and reported on this just shows how shoddily put together journalism is today. People can't even be fucked to do any research, after all how could they turn down a juicy headline like that one.
