let's face it, the average people didn't notice
Their IRC is a pain in the ass to get into.

Could explain why they're targeting gmod websites.
Keep a hold of yer clocks, this was posted in the other thread. Just making sure folk in here see it too.

And yet it was all over the news and there was over 162 MILLION hits to wikipedia alone over it.

I'm more angry at how it essentially made thousands of mods fucking useless.

I very much disagree with that. On my facebook alone there are a couple dozen people talking about it and asking what the hell is going on.
The blackouts had an effect, that's for damn sure.
Anon DDOS attacks are always a damn nuke, sure it will take something down but it will also fuck up everything around it.

You're right Garry. Now let me just download some stuff for GMod and.... oh wait, some of the shit i want is gone because Megaupload is down. Didn't want any of it anyway.

Watch FP go down really soon.
Garry, man... you're not helping anything.
They should be taking down the RIAA's source of income, itunes and the like.
shit just hit the fan.
Could have New Zealand protected those people had they had enough balls to do it?

I guess all of the people who created stuff for your product and uploaded it for Megaupload are idiots.
All the "western" countries bend over to let the us fuck them in the ass all the time. It's nothing new. No one has any backbone.
More no one has any brains. People act like the U.S. government is alone in being ignorant in dealing with piracy and the internet and they're just forcing their will on everybody else, when that's not the case.
This is exactly what they need to do.
The RIAA isn't going to give a fuck what happens to their website. All they care about is money.
Then take down iTunes seconds before the latest Taylor Swift single is released. There, they've lost millions.
Need to find a way to slow down or take out itunes servers for just a bit.
That might do more economic damage then this
EDIT. are you fucking kidding me
FP and Gmod.rog could be easily taken down over the same reasons, there is shitloads of "stolen" content in both lol
I doubt they target us anytime sooner tho, they will deal with torrent sites and general upload sides first.
You don't just hand citizens over to another country simply because they asked.
Would've been an interesting outcome if they resisted.
people rating me dumb because i called MU mafia, be aware that the heads on top of MU have been taking advantage of you, and they are proud of it (and they made a shitton of money by selling properties that shouldn't monetized):
if you read the indictment, you can see that the feds took all their luxurious vehicles, including:
dozens of Mercedes-Benz, 2 Cadillac (1957 & 1959), 1 Maserati, 1 Rolls-Royce, 1 Mini Cooper, 1 Lamborghini, 1 Harley Davidson
now if you read the plates of the cars: GUILTY, MAFIA, HACKER
feds shutting down MU is a good thing, and you know what, it's even a legal and legitimate thing
now please worry about the real things like SOPA & PIPA
I'm off to bed. Good luck, internet.

Actually yes you do when you agree with the other country and are fine with them being tried there.
Good, good.
For some reason, whenever when of these internet stories is breaking, I start listening to System of a Down.
This track is incredibly appropriate right now

Im actually torn on this matter.
On one hand, Anonymous is the only one doing anything about this, so I support them. People need to know that you can't just fuck over the internet like this.
On the other hand, I kind of think they're just fucking everything up even more. Hell, in retaliation, the government could take down Mediafire or some other popular site. And with that, Anon would retaliate again, and it would be an endless cycle.
The Sensational Headlines have over 700 viewers right now. Jesus, that more than I think I have ever seen it.
Why couldn't they have fucking taken down Oron. That place sucks.
Gonna post simply:
I'm frustrated.
