It makes more since if you've been reading his twitter
Garry has a girlfriend, he doesn't care about SOPA, or anyone's opinion of him on here.
Because why support the people who supported you when you can get your dick wet.
The MPAA's site was down for 15 minutes - justice has been served. They'll think twice before they try to enforce the law again!
someone with some sense
You are really asking Anon to take down FP it seems.
an army of kids, angry that they can't access megaporn anymore, led by teenagers, will ddos FP for a day at max (they're way too "busy" to care), and then what?
No matter how much we argue about which is the best file host, at least we can all admit that ORON is the worst one of all.
Uploading is pretty shit too. It won't let me download if I have anything downloading, even a Steam game.
This is probably the only time im glad of Anonymous, the FBI unfairly shut down the site as I said in another thread.

1) companies with games which are replicated in gmod creations target garrysmod.org
2) garrysmod.org is permanently taken offline by copyright holders
3) major chaos ensues
Black out Facepunch in the support Sopa and Pipa.

Garry, maybe now I will put all of my porn and TV shows on Drop box. Because without megaupload I don't have a place for it :(
The MPAA's site was down for 15 minutes - justice has been served. They'll think twice before they try to enforce the law again!
Garry.
Do you WANT facepunch to go down?
And from all these posts, you seem to support SOPA.
Please tell me otherwise...
I've always wondered if the SOPA fans realized what kind of hell they'd be unleashing if they passed it.
The MPAA's site was down for 15 minutes - justice has been served. They'll think twice before they try to enforce the law again!
you're a fucking drone
This is nothing. They've blown up a building and all we can do is smash store windows. What we need is to get the big companies that oppose SOPA and PIPA to bring their legal teams to this fight. What Anon is doing is a noble bit of vandalism, but if we can get the big boys fighting for Megaupload it's a broadside from a battleship.
Anonymous took down the DOJ's website, thats more then just a bit of vandalism, thats like pissing in the presidents cornflakes
Oooh anonymous took down a couple of websites... These corporations and government divisions are going CRUMBLE man! Without their precious websites they can no longer operate... It's the end of days!!
0010010101010101110011 - See that MPAA? That's an e-burn in BINARY CODE. I totally just owned you over the internet so now your lawsuits and bills are totally useless!
Fuck me this childish ddos crap accomplishes absolutely nothing. Like it somehow SCARES the MPAA when their website goes down for 20 minutes? Shit I bet they were all sitting around passing a joint and never even noticed it happened.

Sweet justice.

And for an e-burn in hexadecimal: 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0
Oh shit I just posted copyrighted numbers on Facepunch! Guess the whole site has to get shut down now. :downs:
I hate it when they say the revenue is illegal even though the site itself is legit. Even if the site isn't legit, they can't claim that revenue is illegally earned because visitors are not only downloaders, and when they are, they are not always downloading illegal files.
Downloading any file from megaupload is perfectly legal for me, because courts ruled the anti piracy measures are not good enough, and there's no good alternatives.
I've been to the IRC channels, it's like a fucking stirred wasp nest.

You'd think garry would understand how easily copyright law can be abused ever since that RightHaven fiasco.
Awesome
Unless cloudflare was shut off I'm pretty sure Facepunch can't be harmed during a DDOS (Or maybe it was just DOS, forgive me if it is).

it's a mafia
they are being take down because they were making the websites referencing MU links
the MU corporation is a front
they make website promoting MU, they use these websites to illegally and anonymously host files, then they legally collect the money for the subscriptions
like a mafia

What is the point of just taking down those organisation's public sites? There's fuck all important for the running of those organisations on those sites.
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
Getting into their private servers instead, that'd be worth something.
That would more or less require actual hacking
I like how they say Megaupload has contributed to $500 million in lost revenue. Oh? So where did that figure come from? How was that calculated? You could say the same thing but with 5 dollars of lost revenue. There's no way you can put a specific figure, if any at all, so what the fuck, honestly

What if it's a distraction to draw attention away from something else?
Ok if this is true Anon just took it way too fucking far.
Not far enough
