Facebook still does everything I need it to, probably not going to switch until most of my friends switch over.
Couple of my old friends who don't go to my high school use G+, other than that none of my other friends use it
I like Google+'s Sparks.
And the (current) lack of off-site "like" pages. No, really, they shit me off sooo much on facebook. Especially the ones that sneakily make you like 3-4 pages at once, then start spamming your wall with their "recommended" pages.
Keep deluding yourselves guys, Facebook has too much of a grasp on society in general to die now. Besides, Google+ is just a shitty, stripped down version of it anyway. It's useless and Facebook's already had time to implement its selling points.
Gee I dunno, maybe because they don't like where Facebook is currently heading.
Yeah really? But people are complaining about the stupidest shit. Who cares if they add groups, or "whats happening now" tracker. People whine so much about it, and take it so personally, it is as if there pet died or something.
I'm glad Google+ is doing well. A bunch of my school friends have it now, and while it still has only about 10% of my friends that facebook does, I find it's far easier and nicer to use. Circles make it easier to control who sees what, given it's compulsory that you put people into discrete circles as opposed to "giant blob of friendship" that facebook has. The built-in integration with Gmail, GTalk, et al is amazing, and the 'hangouts' have really good quality video and audio.
So far, it's looking great. They just need to add event planning and hopefully I can finally ditch the shithole that is facebook.
Don't think that Google is any better. Maybe Google is playing the "we're the good guys" but numerous times they've been caught in privacy problems.
They are in it for the same reasons Facebook is
This 100%
Keep deluding yourselves guys, Facebook has too much of a grasp on society in general to die now.
Replace "Facebook" with "Myspace" and read this sentence again to know why this is wrong.

The problem is, they are doing stuff to prevent this. For example:
FB has plans to replace SMS test messages with their free FB message service coming soon,
FB is used to login and/or make accounts for hundreds of sites
FB wants to replace email (they do have an @Facebook.com email for everyone)
FB is used by so many companies to communicate to their fans. That's half the reason I go there.
FB wants to make their own search engine or partner with MS for one, Facebook uses Bing search now
There have been rumors of FB wanting to take over social security logins :v:
The list goes on, unlike Myspace, FB is expanding, and staying relevant.
I have no need for Facebook, now that I got what I want from TigerDirect.=P
I think Google+ is really cool, and would be better if everybody used it, but I don't think it will overtake Facebook at all. Like people have said, everybody is signing up to check it out but nobody is on it and actively using it really. I have a lot of friends on Facebook, and around 5 of them actually are on Google+, but don't use it.
I'm happy for Google to compete with Facebook, but I don't think I'll be making an account for Google+ any time soon; Google wants to profit off of private information just as much, if not more than Facebook and I think it's a disgusting practice for any company to do in the first place. Competition is great, even though I don't really care for either one of them.
I was wanting to use it but I can't for another two years, I'm not old enough. I did consider making a new gmail and everything but it was just too much hassle.
I honestly would probably stop using it like I did with twitter.

I've seen kids who are obviously younger than ten on Facebook and they don't do shit about it.

Yeah, but Google is enforcing it apparently. The age you put in when you sign up for a Google account - they don't care about it then. But they check that you're >18 when you then try and sign up for Google+. I'm not actually certain about how this works given they never asked me as I was >18 anyway, but I've heard from friends that they can't join because they weren't old enough. That hasn't really stopped them joining, though.

You've just made me love Google+ even more.
I have a Google+ account but I still use Facebook. I think a lot of those users are people who created an account to check it out, found out that none of their friends use it, and they went back to Facebook, probably with no intentions to ever check out Google+ ever again :v:
