Come on kid, Snoop is royalty in the town you play in(Los Angeles)
not really he's a sellout who hasn't done anything relevant for like 15 years

This is kinda scary tbh.

I don't really get how you would justify calling someone a cunt over stupid shit like this.
not really he's a sellout who hasn't done anything relevant for like 15 years
Says the guy from the UK to the guy in California. Snoop is a fucking god here.

Rappers throw around swear words like it's normal, they don't find it as offensive as your average joe would.

maybe he was cool back in the day but every new song he's been in for awhile now has been awful & it seems like he's just desperately trying to stay relevant (he did a song with PSY i mean come on)
maybe he was cool back in the day but every new song he's been in for awhile now has been awful & it seems like he's just desperately trying to stay relevant (he did a song with PSY i mean come on)
I couldn't care less what his music is like now a days. To dispute that he's a legend/LA icon is just dumb though.
he didn't say he's not a legend he said that he's a sellout who hasn't done anything relevant in 15 years (which is true)
Says the guy from the UK to the guy in California. Snoop is a fucking god here.
so what. that's like oasis and the gallaghers being gods in manchester but it doesn't mean he's actually relevant at all. snoop is a god like "woahh remember that dude from the 90s who used to be good"
i dont care if ur from LA or whatever cos different strokes for different folks - i'm sure you don't know what every rap fan in LA is into cos some of the most important contemporary rap is from collectives in that city that wouldnt even list snoop as an inspiration or nothin
snoop is equatable to a shitty internet meme. he cashed in on his own retro hype shit where people on the internet were laughing about how wacky he is and his love of weed and his shitty 90s hiphop. and now he's in adverts for price comparison websites
maybe he was cool back in the day but every new song he's been in for awhile now has been awful & it seems like he's just desperately trying to stay relevant (he did a song with PSY i mean come on)
Even if that's true he could still be popular in California. Seems like you're missing that dude's point.
so basically what i'm saying is who gives a fuck what he has to say about some shitty fake contemporary pop rapper. his word is no better than hers
he didn't say he's not a legend he said that he's a sellout who hasn't done anything relevant in 15 years (which is true)
Wrong, the collab with Dâm-Funk got a good bit of attention.
so basically what i'm saying is who gives a fuck what he has to say about some shitty fake contemporary pop rapper. his word is no better than hers
she's relevant now though and she talked shit about him or something, dumb disputes over social networks by celebrities always makes the news, you know that already
maybe he was cool back in the day but every new song he's been in for awhile now has been awful & it seems like he's just desperately trying to stay relevant (he did a song with PSY i mean come on)
Yeah, but you aren't in the US. Snoop is still extremely relevant over here.
Wrong, the collab with Dâm-Funk got a good bit of attention.
yeah of course he gets attention when everything he does is a scramble for attention. also he's apologized to iggy azalea now after TI told him to lol. what a gangsta, she sure WAS 'fuckin with the wrong nigga'
yeah of course he gets attention when everything he does is a scramble for attention. also he's apologized to iggy azalea now after TI told him to lol. what a gangsta, she sure WAS 'fuckin with the wrong nigga'
Except it gained attention based on artistic merit, not the fact that it was Snoop Dogg collaborating (he didn't even use the Snoop Dogg persona, rather choosing to perform as Snoopzilla).
Snoop is still extremely relevant over here.
to what? being relevant means pushing the envelope and doing new and dangerous things that expand the medium ya know. like being hellfyre club or being odd future or death grips or mf doom. not doing price comparison website adverts and being in shitty films and doing songs with psy
if snoop dogg is relevant in the US then i weep for you... but then i remember that all the groups i just listed are american, three of which are californian, 2 of which are LA

Being relevant isn't the same as being innovative. Being relevant means people still care a lot about your opinion and status.

I'd say Snoop is pretty closely connected to rap. But what do I know, I'm just some califoornian
I like Iggy Azalea, she makes good Jazz.

You seriously think Death Grips is "relevant?" You're very, very, very incorrect. They're innovative as shit and I love them, but they're one of the furthest things from being relevant outside of the online hip-hop group.
Snoop Dogg and Eminem are the biggest names in all of hip-hop. Ask anyone from a foreign country about rap music, and they'll say Snoop Dogg or Eminem or maybe Jay Z. Death Grips is about as far down that list as possible. Snoop Dogg is a pop culture icon - he's one of the faces of hip-hop.
Snoop isn't musically relevant in the depth of hip-hop fandom, but from a cultural standpoint, he's still very much relevant. Far more than any group you mentioned. You're confusing pop cultural relevancy with hip-hop relevancy - there's an enormous difference. Snoop's a meme now, absolutely, but that's done nothing but increase his relevance - Not in any way as a musician, but as an icon.
I'm expecting a snoop+iggy song in a few months
The "beef" is way too hilarious to be serious, snoop in the video looks like hes just having fun
there are people with nice hips who aren't also pieces of shit
Really, how is she a piece of shit? Because she makes tweets that are a bit rough?
I'm personally not a fan of Nicki's music, but to compare the two is pretty dumb. Nicki writes her own music and had to climb up the ladder by herself. Iggy writes jack shit and had a rich boyfriend with connections that got radio stations to play her songs over and over until the illusion of them being popular convinced everyone that they were "famous"
Nicki most certainly has a ghost writer, Snoop Dog has other people write his songs as well. The last part sounds like a made up rumor and is ridiculous anyway.
I really like Nicki manaj but fuck, her lyrics are awful. She has no room to brag about writing her own songs
