I am pretty sure you won't allow a man wearing only his undergarment on board a plane right?
How is that even remotely comparable?
You know what makes passengers uncomfortable? People who are sick and cough/sneeze everywhere, loud screaming children, people who talk/laugh way to loudly, and people who are so obese they take up 2 seats.
But the way she's dressed? That's bullllshit. Most aircraft dim the lights so you wouldn't even see her unless your little reading-light was aimed at her chest.
I was not aware airplanes had dress code. If they do then they should make that aware to the public.
This. Just so fucking much this.
Man, how do you do that? How's that every time I see your post, anywhere, I can't help but agree?
Sure, there's cleavage, but was this enough of a problem to ban her?
That's it? I've seen women(and children) wearing bikinis on planes, and nobody gets upset with them! What's so great about her cleavage? As far as cleavage goes, I'd rate it maybe 6/10 if I'm feeling generous.
I'd still be in awe if she flashed me, though. I just don't know any better.
She's wearing a dress, not a pear of boxers.
Or even an apple of briefs.
Cleavage? What about her hands?! They're clearly visible. No gloves, nothing! The trull!
political correctness is bullshit
I personally wonder why they show cleavage anyways....
I personally wonder why they show cleavage anyways....
...what?
...what?
why do woman show cleavage if it creates an issue for many of them :v:
why do woman show cleavage if it creates an issue for many of them :v:
Eh, I don't really see why not. It's not like it's illegal - the airline was just being shitty.
You can't blame women for other people acting ridiculous.

Woman can be ridiculous about it as well but screw the airlines :v:
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it just, you know. Same with high heels, but this is all male bias I guess?

Why would a woman wear high heels? The legs are not made to walk in those naturally. So the only point would be to get some looks by guys (which automaticly objectifies the woman, which feminists complain about), as it improves the attractive posture. Just like with showing cleavage. Clear me up, if I am wrong.

Yeah, no. Stop assuming women do everything for the benefit of men.
Yeah, no. Stop assuming women do everything for the benefit of men.
Well, then tell me why they wear high heels?
Well, then tell me why they wear high heels?
For several reasons. But don't assume all women try to "pretty up" just for men to "objectify them", as you say. A lot of women will want to look nice because they want to. They can do it for themselves.
And who do you think they're trying to "look nice" for?
Can you not comprehend that there are women who want to look nice to boost their self-esteem and feel comfortable about themselves?
Just look how women are represented in mainstream media, and how they're told that they're never perfect and they need to look nice or else society will reject them.
You dont look nice for the sake of looking nice.
What, says you? Just because you probably spend all your time trying to get laid doesn't mean all women do the same. They don't all dress nice because they want your penis.
You look nice by the standards society dictates to you.
What does this have to do with women supposedly wanting to look nice just for men?

Stop being so rude and immature. And still you haven't answered my question, why would women wear high heels if not for the attention? Some claim that those shoes even hurt their feet, so why wear them at all instead of some shoes without heels that are looking nice, too?

And it isn't a good way to boost your self esteem by merely improving your looks. And you know that. Self esteem should be dictated by your character, not that stuff that society dictates that makes you look good. And why does society say that? One phrase, sex sells. Men buy stuff which are advertised by sexy girls, and women buy that stuff that makes them look sexy.

To feel taller, perhaps? To adjust their posture? What makes you think they dress nicely solely for guys? What makes you think they might not want to look nice for other women as well? Or maybe they're having a good day and want to stand out in public, regardless of sex? Of course women can dress to attract guys, and admittedly quite a lot will do this on the occasion, but that doesn't mean they all do, or always do.

Why the generalisations? And why are you implying people can just magically change how their self-esteem is dictated?
Uh, no?
Says every woman who has ever bought revealing or sexy outfits to wear in public because she wanted men to be attracted to her. It's basic fucking instinct.
And, again, who do you think women dress nice for? Hell, how do you think they got a sense of fashion if not for the men who are attracted to that kind of stuff? A woman knows she looks nice because other people think it looks nice also.
Since when did dressing nice = wearing revealing or sexy outfits?

Okay, fine. They dress nice to get attention. Male or female. Is that better? Still is objectifying themselfs, doesn't matter for what reason they do it.
Why would they want to feel taller? Because that's seen as attractive. Better posture? Attractive.

Uhh, what? That's not objectifying yourself. Do you even know what that word means?
Do men objectify themselves when they go out dressing nice?

Yes.
Yes.
So when you go out dressing nice, you're degrading yourself to the status of an object?
So when you go out dressing nice, you're degrading yourself to the status of an object?
You want people to notice you because of how you look, so yes.
Just my opinion though, feel free to think differently.

Holy crap.
Wanting to be noticed doesn't mean you're degrading yourself to an object. How do you even come to that conclusion? If you want to be noticed, you do it because it's a part of human nature.
I mean, how are they even related? I didn't realise objects were attention seekers.
When you dress like that you are drawing attention to your looks rather than your personality. So yes, you kind of are.
That doesn't mean they do that to be objects. Other people do the objectifying.
Why is dressing nice degrading yourself? Are we meant to all dress shitty to feel as though we're more than just objects?
That doesn't mean they do that to be objects. Other people do the objectifying.
You're taking the word "objectifying" too literal. Other people do the objectifying, but if I know they would, and I allow them to (more like, I want them to), wouldn't that mean that I am deliberately objectifying myself?
You're taking the word "objectifying" too literal. Other people do the objectifying, but if I know they would, and I allow them to (more like, I want them to), wouldn't that mean that I am deliberately objectifying myself?
But is that how they would feel? Most people don't actually want to be objectified, so why would they bring it on themselves?
Why is it either they dress nice and objectify themselves, or they don't dress nice and they don't objectify themselves? Why can't they dress nice and feel good about themselves, while also wanting people to see their personalities and who they actually are?
You can still dress nice and want to be treated as a human.

Because we would walk around naked (or all the same) if we did not care about first impression we make of ourselves. Dressing equals visual impression. It comes first, always (apart from blind people, but that's whole other story).
