Because?
i'm not talking about a perfect world, i'm talking about treating soldiers like expendable cattle.
In real war you're a molecule in the meatshield between enemy and high command.
What did you expect?
Because?
please, the US Americans are the nazi's of our time? which opinions and ideologies are eerily similar exactly? judging by that statement you either know nothing about nazi's or the people who live in the US.
i don't know how one could be black and a nazi.

let's not pretend for a second that every single military has the same problems as the military in the US. let's not pretend that it's something we should just accept either.
In real war you're a molecule in the meatshield between enemy and high command.

Not really. To say so is rather uninformed of the way the military operates. High command is, by nature, very safe. They don't need a meatshield to protect them from the enemy, pure distance is enough. They also have many incentives to keep soldiers alive as much as possible within the bounds of completing their objectives. It's a bit hard to get promoted if you get a reputation for wasting soldiers.
What the real problem is is that high leadership in the US military is an old man's game. Previously, the nature of warfare changed drastically almost every 30 years, coincidentally perfect timing for someone who fought one war to lead in a completely different one where everything has changed. This means that equipment, strategies, and training completely fell behind, the end result being more loss of life.
Watching non service members debate about the military is like watching spectators at a football game. they think they know all of the right plays to call and the dynamics but until they're on the field they're just 'know it alls' who have no real knowledge or experience.
The US Americans pretty much are the Nazis of our time. It's a lot more sugarcoated, but overall the opinions and ideologies are eerily similar.
bwahaha I bet you've never even been over here.

Seriously.
Some times, it's a slow day in regards to news.
But this takes the cake.
Heavily agreed.

I mean come on.
Hugo Boss.
Well if you really like that long SS trenchcoat (which I have to agree looks badass as all fuck) you can still pick a similar coat that doesn't have an armband with a SS/swastika sign on it and most people won't even notice where it's from or what it was used for before.
I mean really if I didn't read about it in some website I wouldn't even know this is actually a Gestapo overcoat.

You know, designing a symbol incredibly close to the last century's biggest, most memorable worldwide event that is also one of the saddest thing that ever happened to humanity is kinda BOUND to gathering some bad attention.
Just maybe because it's actually really retarded to do something like that and argue that it's perfectly fine despite the fact it's obviously not.

Oh-ho, aren't you a big boy, what with your indifference to historical symbols of brutality and genocide.
You're all a bunch of 'big boys' when you're trying to prosecute an unrelated group to something that our dying grandfathers did.
I'm sorry but isn't prosecuting the son for the father's sins bad?

We're not blaming these guys for being nazis, just blaming them of being morons who are using a nazi symbol and hoping everything will go fine.
The second world war was one of the biggest displays of brutality and violence of the past few centuries, you just can't use one of the main symbols of the party that started it all and hope everything goes for the best. It's just idiocy and bad taste.
Oh-ho, aren't you a big boy, what with your indifference to historical symbols of brutality and genocide.
Shouldn't we be offended by people wearing Soviet symbols then since they were equally brutal and horrible as the nazis?
Everyone saying 'oh it's just a symbol!" are probably the same people who say 'oh n*gger is just a word!"
Shouldn't we be offended by people wearing Soviet symbols then since they were equally brutal and horrible as the nazis?
No, they weren't. Not even close. The Great Purge, which you're probably referring to, was a horrible event, conducted by Stalin and his cronies, but it simply doesn't compare to the Holocaust, German military atrocities on the Eastern Front and in Europe, and overall causing misery and death on a continental scale.

You're a fool if you think its OK to casually wear or use any symbol from WWII era Nazi's. The SS were all war criminals, they executed POW's, slaughtered villages of civilians for fun, and hunted down Jews. Thats not something any army should be flaunting when they're invading a land to root out terrorists, when almost everybody there hates their guts and wants them out.
No, they weren't. Not even close. I'm not reffering to the great purge. I'm reffering to the mass rapes in Berlin and other warcrimes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_war_crimes#World_War_II

Soviet != Stalinist Communism
Stalin did horrible shit, and even him didn't decide to butcher six million people because of their religion, plus all the other executions for shit reasons such as being gay, a gipsy, a mentally challenged person or in overall not having blue eyes and blonde hair.
Plus, communism is still something that lives today, and most of its symbols don't stand for any actual event of genocide and brutality, while symbols like the nazi swastika and the SS are directly referring to a party that endorsed genocide and troops that were told to be brutal and merciless.
The nazis also had "better design" than the soviets, as their symbols were often more memorable and much simpler, which as you may have noticed have the ability to remind everyone of what they represent and force them to associate to these symbols any other that looks closely the same. The symbol of the Gestapo is an eagle with a swastika or a skull with bones which can be noticed and recognized quite quickly, even though it has no text or caption whatsoever, while another soviet terrible group, the KGB, has some sort of clusterfuck that would look like some generic emblem if it wasn't for the KGB letters on it.
Long story short, your argument is shit and you don't see any actual badly meaningful "soviet symbols" around.

WW2 is infamously known for being one of, if not the one war with the highest number of civilian casualties ever recorded. Everyone is to be blamed for this, even the allies bit the apple by widely bombing villages filled with civilians to sap their moral and the soldiers', making it easier to invade.
There's also the fact that the cases of rape and warcrimes weren't directly ordered, it was just horrible people doing horrible things, while the SS and the Nazi in overall had as orders to be basically a bunch of sadists who had to tear everyone they met a new asshole in a way or another.
I'm sure they picked the SS is a joke for being scout snipers. I don't think they ever expected it to circulate or what not. But if they are serious, keep the lettering, put a different design. Maybe keep the large S's and in smaller but bold print put the rest of the word?

That is one of my points, everyone was bad but the only ones that gets blamed is the Germans. And the argument that the SS killed anyone that didn't have blue eyes and blonde hair (I'm aknowledgeing that they killed the others that you listed though) is flawed since the Waffen-SS was probably the most multicultural army in the entire war (it might still be) as 60% of their soldiers were foreigners. Some historians argue that Stalin killed up to 70 million people.

oh wow! you called me a moron. Lets not ignore that you fucking think nazi symbolism is a PERFECTLY okay thing to do, oh no I'm the moron for finding it just the BIT unsavoury.

Saying that the russians were as bad as the nazis is hardly defending them. I have never said that the SS were not fucking horrible bastards. Though, I do think the russian war crimes were understandable because of everything they went through, I can't say the same thing for the SS.

No he didn't, he's trying to add some nuance and material to arguments that are otherwise flawed by their lack of consideration of other related events, which is something I respect and endorse.
Take a chill pill and stop being a hypocrite by criticizing someone because they called you a moron, while in the same post you call someone else a nut with no backing argument.
This being said, the difference is that Stalin didn't have some very specific death squad that he used to wreak havoc all around Europe in time of war, thus there aren't any recognizable, marking symbol from him while there are a few from the Nazi.

Uh, it's aesthetically pleasing and isn't being used by nazis?
I personally think the flag itself looks great, no matter the bad history. It's like how someone can say they like how the swastika looks without being a supporter of the Nazis?

It has nothing to do with saying it looks nice, it's using it. You can't tell me that using nazi symbolism and ignoring the fact that it's nazi symbolism isn't both insensitive and fucking stupid.
Maybe it's my family history. Coming from a line of European Jews, many of whom were slaughtered by the nazis, excuse me for being just the bit offended, that the absolute obscene amount of tax money being funnelled to these people who go ahead and use nazi symbolism and pretty much glorify them.
