The only thing I can crack is my fingers. Welp.
Aren't chiropractors the jokes of the doctor world?
You mean homeopaths.
My Tourette's syndrome makes me do it 10 times a minute. I got to do it EVEN when it's not possible. It hurts so bad I got trouble to sleep. So what, I can get stroke now? Have been for some years...
Know your pain bro, I do it to my lower back.
You mean homeopaths.
But homeopaths aren't included in the group of "doctor".
You mean homeopaths.
Same thing, like homeopathy, chiropractic is nothing but quackery and unsubstantiated claims designed to lure in the ignorant.
Same thing, like homeopathy, chiropractic is nothing but quackery and unsubstantiated claims designed to lure in the ignorant.
Have you ever been to a chiro before?
Rowing can cause strokes
I once popped my neck and it caused a pain to shoot down my arm. I'm fucked.
Have you ever been to a chiro before?
No, and I would prefer not to have someone manipulate my body out of its natural range of motion. Call me when chiropractic roots itself in science, and not a pseudo-religious mysticism.

What? Like cracking my neck by twisting it to the left or right? Hmm we'll see about this...
According to this, I'm fucked. Just like every other news says.
Wait, does this concern the thing where a therapist violently yanks your neck in horrible ways or you yourself stretching your neck with it's own muscle power? I Always thought it's not dangerous as long as you don't move it stronger than it can move itself.
I rarely have to pop my neck, only when i sleep and its at an angle, or i keep it tilted to one side too long.
The article makes it clear that there's no scientific consensus on this and that 'the medical community is divided'. Not saying it's wrong but I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.
I'd be careful with how many grains of salt you take with things... Salt could be linked to strokes :v:
I have to admit it is very satisfying to crack my neck especially after trying stretching it for a while without success. There's something oddly satisfying about it.
I'm sorry, but what the FUCK are you going on about? You clearly have never been to a chiropractor before. You walk in, lay down on a table, the chiropractor works your back/whatevertheproblemis with his hands or a massage machine, then you go home. It's actually quite simplistic. Got a pinched nerve? Just stop the muscle from pinching the nerve. Tense back? Loosen the muscles up and get proper blood circulation going again. What the fuck are you talking about because it clearly isn't about chiropractor.
And if you're going to judge the practice on what those involved believed back in the 1920's, perhaps you'd be interested in purchasing some of this snake oil.
Agreed. It's the same with cracking my knuckles, arms and toes. I can't stop! That shit is addictive.
AFAIK cracking your knuckles and toes is generally harmless.
I go to the chiropractor on a weekly basis. This isn't going to stop me from going. I advise anyone who hasn't seen a chiropractor to go out and have just one appointment at least. It feels SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD.
99% of this thread thinks it's about cracking your neck like your knuckles, which is due to the wording fo the title, which is quite misleading.

Well then, guess I'm having a stroke, cause I am not going to stop so soon.
I have never had the need to do it so I'm good.
Something tells me neither of you read what I linked.
If you haven't tried it, you have no argument. Seriously, go to one session and come back and tell me it doesn't feel fucking awesome.
What? Like cracking my neck by twisting it to the left or right? Hmm we'll see about this...
Or is it by a Chiropractor however it's spelled. If that's the case, then no shit.
