Not like they haven't done this before, this is just at a longer distance.
Your explanation of what's happening certainly does break physics. If actions performed on one particle were mirrored in the other, that would be FTL communication.
No, My explanation was that no information is moving faster than the speed of light at all. Because the information is not travelling.
I see all these science threads telling me cool things, but I never hear about them again, and they're never applied to anything for everyday use.
Like what? Quantum cryptography? Everyone in this thread is talking about FTL communication, which is fucking impossible.
So we call it 'instant communication' instead of FTL. Just details.
Look. This post has 45 agrees. 45 people who don't understand what this means.
Maybe the first agrees were people who didn't undertand but the rest were bandwagon rating of people probably agreeing for "I would want this" as opposed to "this news could lead to this"
This isn't teleportation, this is copying and pasting.
And thus faster than light interaction.
Irrelevant, it would be like saying you can't possibly exist because you're doing so at the speed of light.
This isn't teleportation, this is copying and pasting.
... And what would you say teleportation is?
And if you thought you couldn't get faster porn... :smug:
So why'd I get all the dumbs? If I get shat upon from a great height, I want to know WHY. cheers though
It is possible people mistook what you were asking. It looks as if you were asking everyone what to think instead of drawing your own conclusions.
It is possible people mistook what you were asking. It looks as if you were asking everyone what to think instead of drawing your own conclusions.
I was only doing that because the article seems to contradict every single thing on the subject I have ever seen and I wanted someone like Johnny or aVoN's knowledge on the matter.
This sounds pretty awesome but I couldn't understand most of the story.
Fuck yes. Soon the quantum entanglement communication device from ME2 will be a reality!
Next: Stride Triple Layer Gum, each layer changing flavor. Prepare to have your head explode.
More like: Stride Quantum flavored gum, a taste of teleportation in every stick.
So we call it 'instant communication' instead of FTL. Just details.
Except there is nothing being communicated instantly.
Now we just need to figure out how to transport fuel into the ship, which wouldp. much solve all problems with space travel.
Time. I don't want to send something off to space knowing that by the time it gets to its destination I'll be old or dead. But if we can send fuel, I guess we can sent the entire spaceship.
As neat as this is and its potential to advance the human race, it's probably just going to be turned into a weapon as soon as possible.
How ?
... And what would you say teleportation is?
Cutting and pasting :smug:
