Wait, what? Didn't he say both of the dogs were sleeping in the bed?
I absolutely hate pitbulls.
Same, what reason would one have to advocate for that nasty breed of dog? I never hear anything good about them in the news.
I seriously don't understand how an adult can be killed by a dog. Just kick it in the fucking face.
Because when they bite you their jaws lock making it difficult to get them off, which makes them exceptionally dangerous.
My dogs way better :3

Cats > dogs.
People are still going to take this article and twist it however they want "SEE!? EVEN THE WELL RAISED PITBULLERS ARE... KILLERS"
Despite the fact that the statistics on dog bites, show that German Shepherds and even fucking border collies are more frequently recorded for attacks on humans than Pitbulls are....
my neighbours have got a pitbull and i doubt it even knows how to cause harm. Really chilled dog and i've never seen it get aggressive at anyone/anything.
The two Scots in this thread are the two people most surprised that someone can't hold their weight against a dog.
Maybe we should remember that the rest of the world isn't as crazy as we are.
Um you are Australian, shut the fuck up jesus. You as bad as Boston guys who go "IM FUKKEN IRISH" when you ask them what nationality they are.
((p.s scots being tough is a load of dickjerking, my friend knocked one out cold last weekend))

For the record, I'm not advocating animal abuse.
So it behaved after he clocked it one? [sp]Couldn't resist :v:[/sp]
chihuahuas are the most annoying dog in the fucking WORLD
Chihuahuas are for rich celebrities and shitty singers.
Get a dog that's actually a good companion, like a Golden Retriever or a Labrador.

I'm sure they can be lovely well mannered dogs, but even still I can't help but ask, Why did they pick that dog?
Because they're lovely well mannered dogs and the owners aren't chavs? I'd thought this would be obvious.

Uhh, no. I've lived in Australia for a few years now. I was born in, spent the majority of my life in Scotland and have Scottish parents.
You sir, are a moron.

Pfft I could take on a dog if it were a life of death situation. I'm 100% certain of that. Hell, I'd be willing to put my confidence to the test, but I don't really feel like killing a dog to be honest. I'd feel terrible about it.

I'm not that tough, actually, I just know where animals (even humans) are weakest. Police dogs work because when people hear them and their bodies go into fight or flight mode they pick flight. If they turned around and took the dog on they could probably take it down (granted there was only one dog). They'd still probably get caught by the police though in the time it took them to kill the dog.
Great, so now that we've established who could kick a dog's ass, back to what the thread was originally about.
It's funny. I live next to a pitbull. When he's in my neighbour's backyard, he'll bark at everything. Birds, squirrels, sometimes us. But whenever we go to our neighbour's house, he's the nicest thing that could be. When they take him for walks, he's perfectly behaved. Doesn't go after anything.
Hell, there was one time when we were looking after a dog. Our dog was in our backyard and the pitbull was in his backyard. They started barking at each other, so we both put the dogs back inside. The next day, the dog we were looking after was being taken out for a walk when the pitbull got out and ran after him. He didn't attack him, he just put his jaw around his neck to let him know who's the boss. Then the owners called him off, and he did just that. They said they'd never seen him do anything like that.
I think pitbulls just don't like the smell of pregnant women, seeing as those are their favorite targets.
Is it Staffordshires that are bred in such a way that they love humans but will try to kill any other dog?
Also, in my experience, Shih Tzus are very friendly, about the house dogs, and I've heard lots of great things about Shiba Inus.
Staffordshires are more LIKELY to have dog aggression issues, but that's not always the case.
But without the proper training, it's easy for something to go wrong and have them not like other dogs. It's important to expose them to all sorts of animals, people, young and old in order to socialize them when they're YOUNGER. It's possible to train them to be accepting of these things at an older age, but it's way more difficult, and most people don't bother which leads to accidents.
Yeah, all dogs can be trained.
Internet hardasses itt
In general I don't think it is wise to have pets around if the pet is strong enough/big enough to kill you.
And a guy who'd keep a potential killer in the same house with a pregnant wife or baby(cause if this woman had survived the dog would have been around the baby), well that guy is just asking for trouble.
There's no reason they couldn't have had a beagle or something...except that it's not easy to pretend to be a hardcore walking your beagle down the block.
Maybe she tried to have sex with them.

Is this what Aussies do all day?
Maybe she tried to have sex with them.
Maybe she saw her sleeping, and the dog thought she was playing dead so it decided to take action.
Also, have you guys ever heard of the argentine dogo? It's so dangerous, it's banned almost everywhere...

But if trained properly, it can be one hell of a dog!
I think this is coincidental and not ironic
