Republicans, White House Brace for Twin Budget Battles
Those of you who say it's not a valid source, why are you not talking about the budget debate?
Frankly the validity of your sources and why you never question them is a more fresh and interesting discussion than something like the budget debate which has already been discussed to great lengths.
Instead of actual discussion this thread is more about bitching at glaber.
niiiiice.
Most of his threads end up this way.
That's going to be hard then as that even rules out CNN.
CNN doesn't create stories or events, only fox has been proven to do that. Fox isn't anything but opinion pieces.
Why can't you get this? WE DON'T GIVE A FUCK THAT THEY LEAN TO THE RIGHT. IT'S THE FACT THEY LIE AND MANIPULATE THINGS IN ORDER TO PUSH A VERY OBVIOUS AGENDA.
That's going to be hard then as that even rules out CNN.
Somehow I don't think people are saying you can't ever post news stations with bias, just not Fox News, and generally things that label themselves politically aren't a safe bet (Ex: Liberal/Conservative News Network, and the like).
Hey glaber? Why do you question every source? Except, of course, conservative ones which are clearly infallible...

Literally the least important thing here is that it's a right bias station, more the fact they're a station full of liars and manipulators.

Conservative News Network and Media Matters are credible sources man!

Not just credible, 100% factual!

I included those simply because those are probably what he'd jump to if he didn't source Fox. I put Fox News on the list for obvious reasons, but did not list them since we've already articulated the point that Fox spews lies.
That's going to be hard then as that even rules out CNN. Of course do you even watch Fox News or visit their website?
I stopped watching Habsburg's video because it was an attack video on Fox once I got to where Rachel said MSNBC.
Riiiight that's exactly why I posted it.

I can't fucking believe you. You're actually that stupid. You actually can't even bother to listen to the opposition. I seriously believe you should be put on ignore of everyone here, you can't even look at the other side. I watch and read your stupid fox and conservative news network shit, but you can't do the same for us?
Glaber lives in Circlejerkville.

Of course people here have been to their damn website and seen their fucking show, because at least we have the integrity to hear what the opposition has to say, no matter how ridiculous it is. And that video was addressing how The White House even acknowledges that Fox News is more an opposition outlet than an actual news station, and how MSNBC would agree, not as an "attack" on Fox News. Honestly, even if it was an "attack", I would say Fox has good reason to be "attacked".

By the way Glaber, does anyone here other than Ridge or maybe Teracotta ever side with you on this shit? Shouldn't that on it's own give you some idea of how dumb what you're saying is?
Sometimes I think glaber is a democrat just trolling us all. But If hes not then I will give him props for having the courage to make these posts even though he knows how people are going to react to them.
Even though glaber should have realized that posting fox news as a source isnt going to cut it.
Whilst I've also seen the claims that Fox fabricates news, there really doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this article. There's a right-oriented bias, sure, but plenty of news outlets have a left/right wing bias. The only issue is if there's lies or misleading information in this article; and given that it's mainly comments from GOP members, I doubt it (unless someone can show there is?).
What's also irritating me is the non-stop hate on Glaber. It's never easy being a staunch conservative in a staunchly liberal forum. Personally, I disagree with a fair amount of what he says, and I agree that dumb comments have a right to be called out. However, in previous times he has raised some very good points - for example, that simply dumping extra taxes on the rich is not a perfect solution to financial issues. If we could all chill out and talk about the news, that'd be much appreciated.

We all know that dumping taxes on them isn't the best solution. But we've argued this and people think a flat or regressive tax works where it clearly doesn't for a government that actually has to do something. They do need much higher taxes to help support the economy. Society has allowed that person to have their opulence, without us, you would be nowhere. Therefore, you owe society, you pay that in taxes which should go to funding everything that helps the average person along. Ideally.

I think Zeke put it best:
"It's funny how reality has a liberal bias."
Really, I'm not angry here. I'd love to get together with Conservatives and Centrists and Liberals and other Socialists, and hell throw whatever other political group in you want, and just talk about events without being hostile. No sudden arguments about why another person is awful. Just pleasant, mature, intelligent discussion. Unfortunately, that's rarely possible.
[editline]14th February 2011[/editline]
Also, I don't dislike Glaber because he's a Conservative. I dislike him because he seems to have, on multiple occasions, admitted that he's a bigot on some issues, but still sticks with the same point of view. He listens to no opposition objectively, and simply goes with whatever is most comfortable, no matter how wrong it is. That really bothers me, and if he was at least really solid in his opinions, then this might not be such a problem, but the thing is that he isn't. At least not when it comes to Social Conservatism.
I suggest everyone gets firefox or chrome if it works with that, then gets grease monkey and Morphs script, then adds Glaber to the thread blacklist filter

Ignoring a problem does not solve that problem.

Sliding scale yeah, but be damned careful. Many of the rich work very hard for their success, and society doesn't give people this on a platter; with the uncommon minority of stereotypes who are "born into" wealth, it would be unjust to credit "society" with aiding the financial rise of Joe X, who payed blood, sweat and tears to get where he is now. To simply say "you'll pay more because you owe us" devalues these citizens, and you shouldn't devalue ANYONE.
glaber respond to this post please
Yes, please do. And try to keep in mind whilst replying that we are not saying MSNBC isn't biased, merely that they do not lie or deliberately misinterpret facts. Don't pull a Teracotta and claim that opinion-bias is on the same level of "deceit" as lies.
Sliding scale yeah, but be damned careful. Many of the rich work very hard for their success, and society doesn't give people this on a platter (otherwise we'd all be rich!) - to simply say "you'll pay more because you owe us" devalues these citizens.
What I think would work best is to tax the rich more than we do now, and add more tax brackets for higher salaries.
Here are the Federal Income Tax Brackets for 2011:

Now, let me just pose a question. Why stop tax percentage increase at 35%? I'm not suggesting a drastic increase, but provided we keep these brackets, I think there should at least be a 37% and 40% bracket, for $379,150-$450,000 and $450,000+, respectively. Those are of course very rough numbers, and would obviously be a little different, if this was actually implemented.

Let's see. First up I have a google search.
http://www.google.com/search?aq=f&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=msnbc+lies
The first result was this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoikNVzesGc In the video, MSNBC Claims that White people are showing up at rallies with guns. With what MSNBC showed, You'd believe them. But CNN on the other hand Exposed that to be a lie when they ran a zoomed out version of the same video that showed the person with the guns to be a black man. Even Fox got the video correct by running the same video CNN aired
This lie is also covered on this page here: http://letterstoadyingdream.wordpress.com/2010/03/04/msnbc-propaganda-lies-insane-douchebags-and-dylan-ratigan/

Even Democrat's and Progressives recognize when MSNBC lies. For example, when MSNBC Lied about Wire tapping.
If you want to see the most dishonest discussion of the Orwellian "Protect America Act," watch MSNBC's Alex Witt and Col. Jack Jacobs - neither of them has a clue what they're actually talking about, but they do a great job of promoting Republican lies.
Witt and Jacobs were key liars about Iraq and the fact that they are still promoting GOP lies on TV is a disgrace to MSNBC and its parent companies, GE and MSNBC.
http://www.democrats.com/msnbc-lies-about-warrantless-wiretapping
http://www.democrats.com/about
Even Keith Olberman Participated in lieing on air before Comcast fired him. (Note, Comcast is the current owner of MSNBC)For an example:
Olbermann Again Tweets False Info, This Time About Bill O'Reilly!
It was just last week when the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann got into all sorts of hot water by tweeting false information about the rape accusations leveled at Julian Assange. He has yet to retract any of that, but hey, he's Keith Olbermann. He don't need no stinkin' retractions.
You'd think he might be humbled a bit by that experience, and maybe would think twice before cavalierly spreading something around the interwebs. But noooooo... especially if it concerns his all-consuming Olbsession, Mr Bill O'Reilly. Last night, Twittermann gleefully zapped this retweet out to his 168,000+ followers:
TWITTERMANN: Backstory? LOL RT @CityWineryNYC Bill O'Reilly just got bounced for stealing someone's seat at Aaron Neville.
Now of course, when a story like this has the Oralmann imprimatur, it must be true. And in no time at all, Fox haters and blue blog tweeters took their cue from Keithy and spread the story even further. These accomplices include:
@StopBeck (self explanatory)
@aterkel (Amada Terkel of Think Progress)
@DanaHoule (Democratic political activist)
@existentialfish (John Whitehouse)
@LibertyInProg (far-left progressive Media Matters mouthpiece)
@StopBeck (said it was 'so good had to tweet twice')
There are dozens more, but you get the idea. Without bothering to get the truth of the story, Edward R Olbermann wanted to believe it, so he assumed it was factual and retweeted it to his credulous followers. It's the Twitter equivalent of one of Olby's rip-'n'-read on-air smears. And yes, you guessed it...it's not true.
All it took was one email to get the actual story. Bill attended the event with Arthel Neville, and as she told us:
No one's seat was stolen. Bill, my husband and I sat in seats that were reserved for us. Merry Christmas!
The only thing that happened was that the party had been seated in the wrong place and moved to the correct reserved seats. That's it! Nobody was 'bounced' and nobody tried to 'steal' anyone's seat. So if you thought Olbermann learned his lesson about retweeting false information from his embarrassing Assange screw-up, think again. And if he didn't retract or correct those falsehoods, he's not likely to correct this one.
But then we've exposed dozens of his attacks on Fox as fabrications and lies, and he's never retracted a one of them. When it comes to attacking Fox News, Olbermann doesn't do retractions. Just ask Major Garrett.
http://www.olbermannwatch.com/ (a website dedicated to documenting Olbermann) Includes other examples
As you can see, it's documented from both sides of the political spectrum that MSNBC lies.
Don't listen to them Glaber, Fox News is my #1 source for everything.
What do you expect from a forum full of bleeding heart LIEberal pansies?
They are afraid of the truth and will do anything to discredit the GOP because they want to live in Obama's socialist utopia.
3 examples does not a habit make. If you came up with daily examples, like we probably could with fox, then we might believe you. Just to be clear, I do not think msnbc's OPINION PIECES are news sources either however, it is a matter of volume, if one lies regularly on all segments it is not equal to the other lieing a few times in opinion segments.
tl;dr dont source opinion or fox

Also, that democrats.com site is a bunch of far left-loons accusing MSNBC of right-wing bias. Obviously, they've got a liberal bias.
And Keith Olbermann saying inaccurate things is not the same as a news channel editing pictures, video, and reality to make their point.
Wow, I couldn't even read that last one, Glaber.
It was just last week when the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann...
You should have known right there that this was not valid. He wasn't lying on air, you twat. That was about him lying on Twitter, of all things.
Twitter =/= MSNBC
With the exception of one video, pretty much everything there is opinion blogging.

Did you even look at the SPECIFIC case? or even the video? You wanted examples of MSNBC Lying, did you not?
So lets do this again:
This is a video about just one event. MSNBC Claimed that at this specific event there were white racist people there with guns and showed zoomed in footage of a person with a gun on their back. CNN and FOX showed the same footage, but with the camera zoomed out to reveal that it was a Black guy with the gun and both CNN and Fox did not report on any thing about

FOX's Red Eye even called out MSNBC on this.

You wanted Examples of MSNBC lying, you didn't say you wanted a constant stream of examples.
Do I deny that people of all races brought guns to these things? No. Do I deny that the person that MSNBC showed only the body of was a White racist man? Yes and with proof from both CNN and Fox.
Now let me ask you, Do you deny that MSNBC lies?
And yes, I should of dug deeper for a video on that oberman watch site.
