^This is an extremely dangerous mindset to have while alive, and could make you or others seriously boring and unlikable. You can still be considered safe without being overly cautious like caring if stoned persons can drive haha
San pedro wouldnt be hard to find anywhere in peru
Yeah it isn't.
I once found like 2 kilos of it discarded right on the street, in the middle of a urban area

I never thought I would see someone say "420 blaze it faggot" with even the slightest degree of seriousness.
I never thought I would see someone say "420 blaze it faggot" with even the slightest degree of seriousness.
I thought the emoticon was enough to show my lack of seriousness, but i guess if you try and make something idiot proof they make a better idiot.
It was just for fun but from the look of things you could use a puff or two and lighten up.
I know I'm gonna get rated dumb for saying this, but cody is right. There are different types of stoners, different types of highs, i am guessing his type of weed is a more concentrated high, and definitely a seasoned stoner can drive absolutely fine while stoned.
I'm guessing many people in this thread don't smoke like 6gs a day like cody here, and (used to be) me. I haven't smoked in ages though so I definitely wouldn't get behind the wheel of a car after toking up. Okay I lied, I did it two days ago, but then again, I smoked a shit ton every day up to like 2 months ago.

If some people thinks I'm "boring" because I think it's obvious that you should be sober while driving, then they're complete morons and I want nothing to do with them anyway
I'm not out to hurt others im minding my own business driving normally, but the notion of another person telling me how to live my life is laughable.
You can live your life however you want until your lifestyle choices have the possibility of putting other people at risk.
"hurr durr i drive better when high eyy lmao 420" notwithstanding.
I'm not out to hurt others im minding my own business driving normally, but the notion of another person telling me how to live my life is laughable.
Driving intoxicated is driving intoxicated no matter what "fuck the police/law/government" spin you put on it.

There are also different kinds of drinkers.
Seriously, when drink driving was cracked down on for the first time, most of them were using arguments similar to those in this thread (I can handle myself). The fact is that people really do not know themselves and have a wild overestimate of their ability to introspect.
Could someone please point out what I have missed, because the title of the thread, and the title of the news article claims that marijuana doesn't impair your driving, but the article
Although 25 percent of marijuana users were more likely to be involved in a car crash than people who did not use the drug, gender, age, and race/ethnicity of marijuana users were considered, demographic differences actually contributed substantially to crash risk.
First of all this directly counters the titles. Secondly the bolded part is nowhere to be found in the actual study? I can't find it anywhere in the pdf.
Nevertheless, marijuana use does impact drivers’ senses, the study warned, and the number of drivers with marijuana in their system is on the rise

“Drivers should never get behind the wheel impaired, and we know that marijuana impairs judgment, reaction times and awareness.”
These quotes state that it is bad to drive while high?
I'm not out to hurt others im minding my own business driving normally, but the notion of another person telling me how to live my life is laughable.
Nah they're telling you how not to endanger other people's lives.
abloobloobloo I have to be sober to pilot around 2 tonnes of metal
I hate driving stoned/drunk anyway, it's really really uncomfortable.
what about substances like redbull or coffee, or chocolate, these all contain a drug that can alter your perception. You've got to realize that some people are better at keeping their perception in line than others, and that it can be done with some drugs.
'you're allowed to drink coffee while driving so why can't I drop acid and get on the freeway'
If you don't see how stupid this argument is I don't know what to tell you. There is ample evidence that stoned drivers are a risk to themselves and others with statistically significant driving impairment. The study in the OP says this as well. That is not in any way comparable to the extremely minor effects that substances like caffeine have.
No, alcohol and weed are not the same and do not have the same effects. But research shows you're still impaired, and 'I do it all the time and it seems fine' is the worst kind of anecdote.

Most of the people arguing that driving stoned is okay are far too young to be aware of the extremely similar and equally bullshit reasons that people used to use to justify drunk driving.

The OP is a moron and didn't actually read the article, then went on to make a fool of himself.
Marijuana use does impact your driving, but in unpredictable ways. THC being in your system, which is the current method of weighing a DUI, is not related to poor driving - it is only a concurrent consequence of smoking pot that lasts much longer than the driving impairment effects.
So basically the article is saying that marijuana still impacts your driving, but it's difficult to prove it in court.

They dont want people driving high because they know it does impair you, just not to the levels greater than alcohol. More studies are being done as this was the first legit study afaik

lol, i c&p'd the title from the source and then shared personal opinions
I smoke before I drive. I'd say it makes me drive safer because I tend to get road rage and maintain 5 over. When high I stay 5 under the speed limit. It makes me more patient on the road

Driving too slow can be just as dangerous as driving too fast. Also you shouldn't be using weed to treat your anxiety, there are better drugs that won't impair your driving.
I drive under the influence of cannabis *almost* daily, its become normal for me
oh so that's why you posted this
[editline]11th February 2015[/editline]
because you think it lets you get away with being dumb and driving under the influence
i rarely, if ever drive stoned but when it does happen i'm the best driver i know, straight up. especially with other idiots on the road who are probably sober, but they drive like reckless dickheads, the weed made me more careful if anything. not to advocate driving under the influence, it's stupid no matter what you're on, but people need to remember that weed affects different people in different ways. my friend who is a horrible driver when sober runs red lights constantly, and when she smokes it only accentuates those bad driving mannerisms she has. meanwhile when i drove high i would constantly be on the lookout for any sort of danger on the road.

ive driven with someone who was high, me included, and we were paranoid the entire time and it just isn't worth it man. it's not smart.

You are not capable of judging your own actions while under the influence of any drug. Your conclusions about your own driving while you're high are about as useful as someone's conclusions about their own driving while they are drunk. Your judgement is inherently impaired by the drug itself.
where is breakyourface when you need him

I was born into the drugs. Molded by the them.
You merely adopted them.

What's the point in giving another side of the argument if you can wash it away simply like it were something else? Weed is no where even close to alcohol when it comes altering someone's mental state or ability to function. Using alcohol as the medium to judge cannabis against is stupid. Maybe cigarettes I can understand, but to compare weed to alcohol is laughable to me.
Don't agree with this. I've gotten stoned before and my legs messed up going up and down stairs. Pretty sure using a car would be much more difficult.
