We will not link to anything piracy related here. However if true, it just goes to show that even the most troublesome DRM can be worked around by those determined enough. It just begs the question if DRM is effective in the slightest or if we should just do away with it entirely.
It doesn't beg the question, it raises it.
DRM isn't meant to never get cracked but make the cracking as hard a long as possible, so people will buy it in the first weeks instead of downloading it right away.
Why are people still complaining about normal DRM? Like it or not game companies have to do something to protect there games. I hate DRM but I hate shitty console ports even more. IMO devs should remove heavily restrictive DRM like this from games once it is cracked and replace it with something like securom just so it has some protection.
As much as piracy may suck, it's just the legitimate customers who bear the burden of DRM, seeing as how games are generally cracked in the piracy world, and stripped of their DRM. If they really want people to buy their games instead of pirate them, they need to make the legitimately purchased version better than the pirated version. Not worse.
the DRM been cracked way before it was announced that it is cracked.

The only cost effective DRM is no DRM. [editline]09:02PM[/editline] While Ubisoft cares only for profit. *
