dude, you're sitting there arguing that religion has NEVER done good. That's just ignorant and a generalisation
No, I'm not. I did say I've never personally witnessed the good myself, I didn't say it doesn't happen. All the good and all the bad that's ever been done in the name of religion is simply a result of human nature anyway, which is why I think religion is useless. It'd all still exist with or without religion, but in THIS CASE SPECIFICALLY, because this family was under the influence of religion, they entrusted a person of religious authority to dunk their baby's head under water in a useless ritual that cost the baby its life. In any other case they would have been protective of their baby and he'd still be alive. On another note: the parents should have taken their child from the idiot and saved its life themselves, but we all know that this their ritual shouldn't be interrupted.
His opinions and ideals are the correct ones.
coming from a militant atheist like you who thinks this incident was religion's fault, that statement is laughable [editline]04:14PM[/editline]
why do you think it's your duty to tell people what not to think or say
how dare I call someone out on a discussion board for being a fascist cunt (User was banned for this post ("Flaming/trolling" - Hexxeh))
coming from a militant atheist like you who thinks this incident was religion's fault, that statement is laughable
Stick around and make damned sure I realize just how wrong my opinion is.
Stick around and make damned sure I realize just how wrong my opinion is.
opinions can't be wrong brosteak however, that doesn't mean they can't be simply retarded/narrow minded/illogical/irrational, etc.
opinions can't be wrong brosteak however, that doesn't mean they can't be simply retarded/narrow minded/illogical/irrational, etc.
Which is where you come in, right? You've got a completely unbiased, widened view of all subjects ever discussed on this forum.
Which is where you come in, right? You've got a completely unbiased, widened view of all subjects ever discussed on this forum.
no, I've never said that. everyone is biased. all I've said in this thread that blaming religion on this and being a militant atheist about it is stupid
no, I've never said that. everyone is biased. all I've said in this thread that blaming religion on this and being a militant atheist about it is stupid
I disagree. Now what?
I disagree. Now what?
explain how religion was at fault here. the hundreds of millions of other people who were baptized drowned too, right? when a baby goes in a pool and drowns it's OBVIOUSLY the pool's fault isn't it.. it couldn't possibly be the negligent caretaker's fault

You're not going to change my mind and vice versa, so just shut up already.
I already fucking did, several times. You're not going to change my mind and vice versa, so just shut up already.
alright continue being a 13 year old militant atheist who thinks it's cool to blame religion on everything bad that happens
alright continue being a 13 year old militant atheist who thinks it's cool to blame religion on everything bad that happens
Religion kills babies.
Hang on - the other day someone died in a car crash. Now, if cars had NEVER been invented, this wouldn't have happened. Therefore, cars should not exist?
I honestly don't think religion is a problem itself, it just has to.. Change, evolve.

For every non-religious death, there's a secular life saving.
Evilution is a myth.
What are you trying to say?
Cars are necessary. Next.
We have a thing called feet
This entire thread is fucking pointless the source is the sun.
Cars are necessary. Next.
No they're not.
No they're not.
Um yes they are? It takes 21km to get to a place where there is something other than fast food for me. You will not see me, or anyone walking 21km on foot to get a decent meal, game, or to meet up with friends.
Evilution is a myth.
lol
SACRIFICE TO THE LOOOOOOORD c

Fail! [editline]02:02PM[/editline] it reminds me of that episode in lost where they put sayid in the water and they have to for a certain amount of time and end up drowning him... except he came back to life and killed a bunch of people... I doubt the baby will do that...
note: during baptism ur NOT SUPPOSED TO PUT THE BABY"S HEAD UNDERWATER YOU DUMB FUCK
Our basic evolution doesn't require cars. Those are all luxuries.
Transport is a need.
Down to our very basic instincts, no, it's not. We have legs for a reason
Down to our very basic instincts, no, it's not. We have legs for a reason
The way we live today we need transports though, you don't produce your own food for example.
