because gun homicide = all homicide and crime right?
Just cause criminals have some what of a more challenging time getting guns doesn't mean they don't kill/hurt people in other ways.
Take away the tool and they will find another.
Isn't this pretty obvious?

I think its safe to say guns are easy to kill people with, I honestly don't see how anybody can look down on the UK just because we ban guns, its not like its a human right to own a deadly weapon.

I look down.
It is called the right to defend yourself and civil liberties.

Also shooting is just fun in general as a sport/hobby

Defend yourself from what? Other people with guns?
And the part about how its fun in general, as a sport/hobby, thats your opinion, my opinion is that its not worth the danger and deaths, for fun.

Uhh criminals? People whom wish to do you harm?
That sort of thing. It's not like you go out hunting criminals (hence the term self DEFENSE) it is a safety net that makes you feel safe knowing you can defend your loved ones and family.
What are you gonna do in England if a group of chavs bust into your house? Fight them with a cricket bat?
Uhh criminals? People whom wish to do you harm?

Criminals with guns perhaps? So these people are trying to harm you, so you have the right to put a bullet in them, and potentially kill them.

If someone attacks another unprovoked, its (should be) well within the victim's rights to defend themselves, even if it results in the unfortunate death of the attacker.
So in a country like Great Britain, is the city on lockdown or anything?

Shooting for fun is entirely legal in the UK, assuming you have the right amount of land. I dunno where people get the idea that guns are banned in the UK, they aren't. As a few people have pointed out in this thread you can own guns in the UK. It just isn't that common (away from the country side anyway).

O/U shotguns is pretty much all you have. You can get retarded looking revolvers with 2 foot barrels but you have to kiss the queens feet first to do so

Rifle's can be owned as well, pistols are the only thing that are truly banned in the UK and that's purely because of a knee jerk reaction many years ago.

Pretty much only bolt actions that's it.
Sadly. Remember when you used to be cool UK? remember? :smith:

We're under martial law. A bobby is outside on the lawn now with a billy club.
"I know a place we can lay low but my hands are all messed up so you'd better drive"
Actually reminded me of kane and lynch if they were british
The UK has little more than 1/4 the murder rate of the US. I'm not drawing any conclusions from that, just throwing it out there since it's something that a lot of the critics of our weapons laws seem to ignore.

Gun homicide?
Who gives a shit?
Homicide rates matter. The tool employed doesn't matter at all. That is like saying "Finland has the highest level of table leg homicide" or "France has the highest level of cheese related homicide."
The number of homicides are what matter. And, unlike gun control laws, poverty and education levels actually do link back to homicide rates as well as crime rates in general.
You are just terrified of firearms and have eaten up every bit of fear mongering that has been fed to you.
EDIT: Plus you are culturally homogeneous, a fraction of the US population, and a tiny fraction of our size. Do none of these sound significantly more important than gun control when determining crime rate causes? REALLY?

Look at the post above you
And speaking of being terrified, we are not the ones constantly worrying about our house being invaded, because it's simply so unlikely as to not warrant worrying about
Please explain how the things you mentioned influence the homicide rate, I am curious

Our homicide rates are 1/3 of yours.
Americans are the ones that are terrified.
Also ITT: CreepyGunfox being creepy about guns again.
There is no "fear mongering" about guns. No one talks about guns. No one cares about guns. Guns are not an issue here.

Exactly, and the majority of people I've seen complaining about gun laws don't even live in the UK. I personally feel perfectly safe not owning a gun, it's never bothered me in the slightest.
I shoot and handle regularly a version of the British Army's main rifle, the L85A2. Plus I know of at least 2 local shooting clubs for firing rifles, and know people at school who shoot in competitions. It's not like there is absolutely no firearms here and we can't have fun with them. Why the fuck anyone would need anything like a AR-15 at home I don't know, and pistols obviously pose a very real threat due to their conceal-ability.

Where do you live in England?

Fine by me.
Your country, your laws.
What the fuck is wrong with the title? It sounds like it was written by a very angry Chinese immigrant.
Fuck it, Australia.
Uh Zeeland is in the Netherlands.
16 to own a shotgun, 18 to own a crossbow.
We have no need for guns in Britain unless you're a farmer or something.

Plus if you get a license you're allowed to own an unpainted airsoft guns, my college teacher has about 3 (sniper, mp5 and a pistol)
They have to be securely locked up though :v:
