I've been cramming my whole house into the tiny space and making pretty good progress over the past few hours. I was about to save it and go to bed when it suddenly hit me that you can't save work-in-progress builds and come back to them later. I'm going to have to keep this open all night and come back to it tomorrow. Fuck.

I pray nothing happens throughout the night to erase it.
I'm calling this done. It's inaccurate in a lot of ways but considering I started it out with no planning and did it in one session, I'm really pleased. There wasn't enough space for the backside of the house with the scale I ended up doing, but whatever.

Ah, whenever I cancel a build, the lot gets occupied as a 'Work Zone'. Are these ever supposed to go away, or is my entire neighborhood doomed to be covered in these forever?

Yea...
It's a fun little program...
They need to change Rotate from space to the middle mouse button.

That or right-mouse, like it is in that other building program. I can't tell you how many times I accidentally deleted a brick when I was trying to rotate.
If you like this but don't enjoy the limitations/like of building space, I'd suggest looking into Blockland.
Pretty much all the legos you could ever wish for, plus an easy to use scripting system for bringing them to life.
Add-ons help out a bunch, too.
