What do you want me to reply with?
absolutely nothing
What do you want me to reply with? That I feel sorrow or something for those stuck on both sides of the fence and never asked for this? And to the NHS thing, that is what happens when you use FPTP.
feeling sympathy and understanding the negative effects of brexit is preferable to acting like it's some cool experiment on the intricacies of treaties and immigration law that is taking place in a vaccuum also the NHS isn't doing great under the tories but it is at least still functional, they have thankfully not made policy decisions that would wholesale destroy vital parts of the service. they don't have to make those decisions now due to brexit!
as the son of a dutch immigrant who's lived here 27 years this really, really pisses me off holy shit did you even think before typing this -edit- how can anyone think this is a good thing? how could someone defend this and say "yep! that's how things should be!". and if you start with "oh lol this is the way it's going to be dont be mad :^)" then ima stop you there and ask; when does a person's vote overrule me and my families rights?
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/statement-the-status-of-eu-nationals-in-the-uk Unless as stated, basically people are fine. Though I'm expecting it to be changed if the V4 group etc are concerned, as with negotiations, everything is up for change. Though it appears a very solid ruleset to go by.
Thanks, but yeah if this changes to say "actually, u need britainship or u get kicked out" then am tellin everyone now there'll be riots
It won't be that, the issue will be the rush within the 2 year period that was brought up in discussions that people would rush to the UK, so there will probably be changes to stop that from happening.
Awesome, thanks leavers for completely fucking expats like myself. I'd rather be European than British if I can't be both, so all I can hope is that Sweden feels pity for me and offers me citizenship.
How dare other people other than myself have an opinion.
How dare other people other than myself have an opinion.
since when has "having an opinion" been a defence of fucking ANYTHING? especially when that opinion has just possibly fucked over millions of people the leave "opinion" is shit if that is your opinion, your opinion is shit
How dare other people other than myself have an opinion.
How dare other people other than myself decide where the fuck do I get to live? Fuck, I had to WORK just to get out of Venezuela, the British government didn't give me one fucking cent (In fact they already have so many restrictions that not even citizens like myself can move in with ease, Sweden made it infinitely easier for me to get settled), but now they get to decide where I get to live and work because of an "opinion"? I had a lifetime worth of arbitrary decisions imposed on me in Venezuela, I came to Europe to escape them so I can finally have a say in my future, guess what I get fucking welcomed with.
I suspect, and indeed hope, that once article 50 is triggered and negotiations begin, that the government will hold a second referendum on the terms (as Ireland did). If the leave camp are still wanting to fight on the hill of immigration, Britain will have to leave the single market. If the terms of our departure are thus, I don't think we'd still vote to leave.
