It has nothing to do with anything, but I must say that you guys have one of the more elegantly laid out metro systems I've seen
Wow what the fuck is going on.

R.i.p.
It has nothing to do with anything, but I must say that you guys have one of the more elegantly laid out metro systems I've seen
It has to be considering that it's the primary mode of transportation for the vast majority of people in a city of millions. When you're in Moscow you don't get around by Bus, Car or Taxi as much as you get around by Subway.
Also beautiful: The St. Petersburg Metro is amazing, too.
That's just some of the stations, mostly towards the center of town. The rest look very plain and utilitarian.
It has to be considering that it's the primary mode of transportation for the vast majority of people in a city of millions.
Well all you have to do is find a map of something like the New York metro system and it makes the Moscow one seem easy to understand. Or look at a map of the Toronto one and notice how it doesn't cover enough of the city. Moscow's is round and it make sense.
Lubyanka? It's like in the popular roman about the Guardians of the Day and Guardians of the Night! ANyway, I hope they get the fuckers who did this.
Lubyanka? It's like in the popular roman about the Guardians of the Day and Guardians of the Night! That's where a lot of "undesirables" ended up. Back in the soviet days the very name "Lubyanka" was spoken in whispers. It struck fear in everyone's hearts.
Sad Update: Second explosion Happened on"Park Cultury" (Culture Park), 30 mins later after first one, 12 dead, 15 injured, station at fire, tracks shut down on three other stations. First investigation say about remote detonation via mobile phone. And now here is something for conspiracy, both explosions happened on stations of vital goverment objects, Lubyanka - Duma (law votings) and Park Cultury - central office of MVD (police).
I'm glad it isn't that bad...:/

Government agency HQs+crowded stations+rush hour=bomber's wet dream.
I'm glad it isn't that bad...:/
Are you kidding? At least 40 people are dead, and it's not that bad??
Beano, Get out of there, you might get bombed.
Beano, Get out of there, you might get bombed.
He's in Cali.
Damn chechens :ohdear:
He's in Cali.
Oh, Well tell him to get away anyways, the bombers are looking for him.
Beano, Get out of there, you might get bombed.
Way ahead of you. I'm on the other side of the planet.
Damn chechen rebels, if they are the ones who did this :ohdear:
Fixed*
I bet there is a Chechen rebel among us. Look out.
I bet there is a Chechen rebel among us. Look out.
Don't listen to him, he's just an intoxicated spy.
There's another thing about this sordid affair that is starting to really scare me. Russian troops stationed in Chechnya have a very perverted concept of justice. Last time the Moscow subway was bombed it has been stated (although not officially confirmed, despite a hidden video smuggled out) that Russian troops wiped out an entire village for every dead Muscovite. Even if we don't know if it's the Chechens the soldiers probably already jumped to the conclusion. The bombing happened two hours ago, it's 10 AM. If they'd be doing any retribution it's happening right now. I can only hope it isn't. Killing dozens of innocent civilians with a bomb is a horrible thing to do, killing hundreds more equally innocent people as a retaliation is even more barbaric.
Doesn't the Russian army have a rather expansive history of doing things "their own way"?
Russia is doing what it is known for, God damn it, Can't the Russian army think before they acted? If America did this when 9/11 happened, the middle east would be gone.
