So what happens if you upload videos there that were deleted from YouTube by Comcast?
Can't wait to see Comcast sue YouTube over some bullshit like YouTube being "unfair."
There's already a lot of them.
Bring back zippyvideos
I don't understand how stuff like this even happens. Don't these companies have industry experts and analysts who can tell them, "no don't try this, it's going to fail, we'll lose a lot of money"? I'm just some guy, and I can tell this is going to fail, why can't a big company like Comcast
They probably have a guy that says it will make a shit load of money, that tends to work. Let's wish them luck with getting it to be a hit internationally and giving it enough development time and not letting it sit there broadcasting 360p in 2050 while youtube can do unlimited-high-definition and simply doesn't care how much data you throw at it.
Instead of 1080p we'll have ∞p
Instead of 1080p we'll have ∞p
"Render 240p to as many pixels as you want on your screen! The possibilities are infinite, and that's the type of technology we're employing here at Comcast."
oh so that's why my prices got hiked, i thought i was going to get better service but apparently that money is going to go towards a service that's largely going to be ignored.
As an upstart, I hope from day one they get bombarded with DMCA takedown requests and lawsuits like YouTube faced, but because its Comcast they will not only prioritize its bandwidth (even as they are bound by net neutrality laws) they'll never have to deal with DMCA notices because they'll immediately claim safe harbor protections as an isp.
they'll never have to deal with DMCA notices because they'll immediately claim safe harbor protections as an isp.
lol not for long, they could literally get taken to supreme court if the RIAA/MPAA don't get their DMCA's honored.
