Romney seems to be digging a deeper grave for himself with every word he speaks.
Regardless of how serious he was when he made the statement, the thread title is straight-up false. He never said that, joke or not.
Somehow a giant zeppelin would really fit Romney.

EDIT:
Hmm...something isn't quite right about that image.
EDIT2:
There, fixed it.

he didn't say it literally but
because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem.
is pretty damn fucking close, it's not straight up false, it's a paraphrase.
It wastes a shitton of fuel and probably doesn't endear him too well to people still suffering under the economy.
Nonetheless, it doesn't really seem good for a campaign aircraft. Aircraft like that one are being phased out.

That looks like a Limousin, but as a plane :v:
No but in all seriousness you'll pop. Given you're under 15 PSI of pressure, and you have what? 100+ square inches of surface area on your body, thats 1500 lbs of force not on your body.
Pop.
Like a balloon.
Like Romney's inflatable head.
You see where I'm going here.
Is it possible to force him to take an IQ test in order to show how stupid he is?
Is it possible to force him to take an IQ test in order to show how stupid he is?
IQ tests aren't a very good measurement of intelligence, they just show pattern recognition. I think that the man with the highest IQ in the world is, if anything, more stupid than most.
of course, Romney probably sucks at pattern recognition and it'd be another nail in his campaign's coffin, so sure I guess.

Everest is at about 30k feet and hovers around 4.3 PSI. People can not only climb to that height without exploding, it is even possible to do it without oxygen.
35k feet would be around 3 PSI and while you would certainly require oxygen, you still wouldn't pop.
During dangerous paratrooper insertions, paratroopers (usually special operations, not standard airborne) can jump from 35K feet sans pressure suits (but with oxygen).
romney is fucking stupid, along with his friends

but the cabin is pressurised in the plane his wife was on, isn't it the sudden difference in pressure that's dangerous?

And?? He's using it to travel on his campaign stops. Therefore, it is his campaign plane.
Hell, even if it's not people are going to use it against him.
Remember how many people thought Palin actually said she could see Russia from her house? It was from a SNL skit, and yet people thought it was actually her words.
Granted, she actually was a moron, but so were the people who used *that* as evidence of it.
Uhh, she DID actually say that. Ever think perhaps maybe the SNL skit was making fun of what she said?

She said you could see Russia from Alaska. Which is true. The Diomede Islands. The one on the left is Russian territory, the one on the right is Alaskan.

Well I'll be damned.
Though let's be honest here, does anyone even live on those islands or frequently visits them?

People do live on the little one but Sarah Palin has never visited it, as far as I know.

There's a russian weather station and russian border guards on the left, but no permanent population.

He didn't take it far enough. The ISS also needs open windows so the occupants can get a sweet dose of radiation and vacuum.
