Mining Bitcoins on GPUs is no longer competitive with ASICs and FPGAs.

I did the math earlier today - Bitcoins would have to reach $7000/BTC before I'd be making even a cent of net profit mining on my 6870.
BTC are currently overvalued - they'll crash in a month or two, and I aim to buy some once they bottom out. That's the only real way to make money off them right now, besides selling ASICs.

Gordon Mah Ung mentioned that on the Maximum PC podcast a few weeks ago. I'm so glad that someone saved it.

Too bad you can't really do a modern equivalent to that since 3dfx, S3 and Matrox are either dead or don't have anything that can compete with AMD/Nvidia.
